Disclaimer - I am a bit on a fence here trying to decide if I should do it at all - it would require me pulling cash from special savings account, but...
...I've found quite cheap LTD B-206SM, 40% cheaper than usual. Apparently there is some discount going on at the moment in this particular store, making it 440ish USD (conversion from my local currency), normally they go for about 740 USD here.
Like I mentioned, I don't quite have that amount of cash... yet. I will be getting a decent separation package / bonus in about half a year, but I could theoretically take money from special savings account. Problem is the transfer would still take about 2 weeks to complete, and I am afraid the discount will be over by then, so I am trying to discover some other options.
A bit of context:
I've been playing guitar for nearly 14 years now, never owned a bass, now I find myself needing some to compliment my guitars. I mainly play an 8-string guitar, but sometimes would also use 6 strings tuned anywhere between E and B. The 8-string is mostly tuned to D an octave lower.
I mainly focus on post / doom metal stuff and some TOOL as well, but will also often play some black metal or death metal.
Generally speaking, choice of 6-string is mostly dictated by my obsession with band called Obscure Sphinx, I need something that can be used to create my own music in similar style. But as it will be my first and only bass, I'd like it to be able to also play some TOOL riffs.
What basses should I look into considering the above requirements?

1. Solo stans trashing other members who aren't their faves: As a Blink, I would say the most obvious thing happening during these solo eras for the Pinks is putting down other members to bring up their faves. Comments like:
- "Rosé is the musically best" (It’s a good compliment, but often it’s used to put down the other three members).
- "Lisa can't sing."
- "Jennie and Lisa are seeking western validation."
- "Rosé is a flop and only writes about men to get attention."
- "Jisoo shouldn't sing or act."
- "Jennie is attention-seeking and lazy."
2. Backhanded compliments in K-pop:
- "Wow, this song made me realize there are not only cute and girl-crush concepts in K-pop."
- "When she/he sings, they sing with so much emotion. Everyone can sing, but only a few people can actually express emotions."
- The constant mentioning of artist rappers and real dancers, and using them to put down idol dancers and rappers, is exhausting.
- "This MV is still so beautiful and doesn’t take so much money. It focuses on the song. I’m glad they used green screen and not sets because that is so wasteful." (I legit read this and thought, wait, what?)
Please note, this post doesn’t target certain fandoms or groups. Anyone, even casual fans, can give their ideas on this. You can post things done by certain fandoms, but please don’t take it as an attack or something. Their actions obviously don’t speak for the entire fandom. Specific comments can also be posted.

I can't have the front of the card as the question (a single word) and the back as the content of all its meanings. This is terrible because it violates the 'no lists' principle, making it very inefficient.
