Hi. I am afraid of becoming successful and known to people. I think if I get successful people are gonna get me for various reasons.I haven't done anything wrong in my life.
I get anxious when I want to think about starting a business, creating social media content or speaking my mind. I tell myself what if someone say bad things about me to destroy my reputation when I get popular on social media. Or what if someone acuse me of something if I get rich and with that That's why I don't do anything.
Maybe it's because I come from a country that there is no freedom or my family has always suppressed my will to success or I see people who are successful or famous get in trouble here and there and that is why my mind puts myself into their shoes and gets afraid.
My mind is not afraid of crossing the road but it is afraid of everything else in a catastrophic way.
I want a way out. Do you have any solutions that have worked for you? Any way to change the neuroplasticity of my brain in a positive way. Because I'm suffering so much. Thank you.

2025.01.22 13:45 padfoot_1024 Need advice and thoughts on how to navigate a delayed promotion ( by a year )
Hi Everyone, I graduated in 2022 and joined a MNC as a data scientist. My promotion didn't happen within 1.5 years as there were mass layoffs and massive org restructuring in the subsequent months. However, I'm up for promo this March to DS 2 at 2.5 YoE ( 15 to 20% hike is expected ).
The manager and the leadership team has become extremely political and toxic and WLB has crashed like anything.
How do I deal with this situation ?
- Should I aim for a company switch in less than a month after getting the promo ?
- How do companies view people who switch immediately after getting a promo ?
- Does switching immediately give you less leverage for salary negotiation ?
- Or is it better to switch right away because to get promoted to DS 3 in the new company, you'd anyways have to be there for atleast 1 / 1.5 + years ( general assumption )

You once told me before that you’ve been adored but never pursued; that of all the “what-if’s” you’ve had in life, none dared to take the leap for you, irregardless of the uncertainties it may bring. I think those “what-if’s” are dumb. I pity them as much as I envy them, because they had their chance and lost them.
I like you. I tried not to, really! I always found you pretty and I never get bored when you’re around but I really made it a point to only look at you as a friend I occasionally banter with, and for a time, that worked. I was perfectly happy being alone and just focusing on myself because I knew I had a lot to work on before ever considering anything.
But I couldn’t shake off this feeling for some reason. I was drawn to you in a way I never really understood. When I thought we may never see each other again, I felt sad. But you came back just in time and now I can’t help but steal glances everyday. Then we got even closer, and that probably sealed the deal. We had a lot going through individually, and though we never fully spoke of the things that would make us too vulnerable, the fact is we gravitated towards each other that time. That was when I knew that things were different. The people around us always said we had good chemistry, and they enjoyed just being around us “hating” on each other like a bunch of kids. And as with all dynamics that show compatibility, they made it a point to tell us how much we fit. I never really thought about the things they said but i knew at the end of the day, they had a point. I never had to think too hard to know what’s on your mind, and I always felt like I understood at least a part of you that others have probably never thought about. I cared for you and I’d like to believe you cared for me too.
If I ever told my feelings for you any earlier, I wouldn’t have done it for the right reasons. But now I am sure. As I’ve written many times now, you once asked me if I ever found you pretty. I always have. But you are so much more. I don’t claim to know you fully. I don’t think you’re perfect. I don’t believe that you have no flaws. But that is why when I see you I get reminded just how human you are. And I want to get to know you more than I already do. So pretty soon, I’ll be opening doors that I’ve shut down far too long. I will not deceive you or play mind games. If you’d let me pursue you, I would. But I know that’s not just up to me. If we ever end up meeting halfway, I would really like to learn more about you and grow with you. Till then, perhaps I’ll just yearn like an idiot.

Estando Speed tan cerca no puedo evitar pensar en quien podría guiarle por acá en caso de que venga, y que loco no se me ocurre nadie tragable, puede ser que pase lo mismo que panamá, que fue una pasarela de personajes infumables.
Siempre me pregunte porque no hay youtubers paraguayos exitosos o medianamente conocidos por lo menos a nivel regional. Seguro hay poquísimos casos pero son excepciones.
Los que hay son medio meh o hay contenidos mejores, la mayoría tiene un humor insoportable que o es tercer tiempo versión a nadie o humor cheto que lo es mismo pero peor, aparte les llegas a conocer de verdad y son re a nadie, alzados re mala onda.
Igual la fórmula básica de un youtuber paraguayo suele ser: empezar haciendo comedia tipo enrique pavón versión ñembo moderno o intento de humor argentino, crecer’i y cuando apenas se asoma una pizca de popularidad empezar a trabajar con tigo promocionando boludeces o vendiendo crypto, incluso peor, fusionarse con la farándula de la tv.
En fin, mr. Graso es mi candidato más serio para guiarle a Speed.
