I have had Flip 4 for just over 2 years. I fell in love with its size and I thought I'd never switch. Unfortunately, the screen started acting out a couple of months ago - the screen doesn't activate when unflipped. So now, I am looking to buy a durable phone.
I spoke to a manager in one of the Samsung's store in London and they told me that all fold/flip phones are still marred with hardware issues and advised me to buy a regular phone instead. I was hoping Samsung would have upped their game by now because I honestly didn't want to move away from the flip series but alas.
With new 7 series to be launched soon, do you think I should take a risk again? I was looking at both fold and flip 7. I have also heard great things about oneplus open 2, so not going to rule that out either. If the sub's advice is to not get a foldable phone, are there any models I should be looking at? Galaxy S25 ultra is high on my list.
The plethora of options are overwhelming, so really appreciate your advice.
