I’ve been with my boyfriend for 5 years. He’s an incredible guy in many ways—loyal, responsible, and supportive—but he’s never been affectionate or romantic. From the very beginning, I’ve always been the one initiating hugs, kisses, and intimacy. It’s left me feeling emotionally drained and unfulfilled.
We’ve broken up a few times over the years. During one of those breaks, I dated someone else and had a one-night stand. When we got back together, he said he forgave me and reassured me that I’m the woman in his life. But two years later, nothing has really changed.
Now, I’m planning to move to another country to study and also to take time for myself—to be alone, to think, and to figure out what I truly want. I gave him an ultimatum recently because I feel stuck in this cycle: sometimes his good qualities convince me to stay, but after a few days or weeks, I’m back to feeling lonely because the lack of affection and connection hurts so much.
When I told him how I felt, he admitted he’s scared of losing me and said he knows I deserve better. But his actions don’t match his words—he’s never cried or begged me to stay, and he’s so emotionally closed off that he once even let me sleep at my ex-FWB’s place because he wanted to be alone with his cousin to play. But now he claims he doesn’t trust me enough to be affectionate?
Am I wrong for wanting someone who shows me love openly and affectionately? Or should I let go and focus on myself, even if it means walking away from someone I care about deeply?

I’ve been to the blue wagon in Cumberland falls at the “six point cabin” and the card is not there. I’m almost positive I’ve picked it up at some point, but I don’t have it in my satchel. I’ve spent close to 1,000$ buying the stupid cigarette packs, and still haven’t gotten it. Any ideas?

Hi guys so i have a 2019 bmw m sport 320i. I was in a car park earlier and forgot to take it out of drive, tried to reach for something in the back seat and the next thing i know im pulling forwards slowly and about to hit a car infront. The car stops suddenly but im not sure if that was me breaking in time or if the car automatically stops if it detects a crash even at low speed, all of the sensors were going off and it was in red on the parking sensor display too. Just curious if anyone knows if the car did this or me, it was a bit of a blur.

Hello everyone! I'm James Croft, I'm the University Chaplain and Lead Faith Advisor at the University of Sussex, and the only Humanist to lead the chaplaincy at any university in the UK. Before that, I led the Ethical Society of St. Louis, a Humanist congregation in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked with the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard.
I've recently started Deep Humanism, a YouTube channel dedicated to explaining and exploring Humanism in a rich and compelling way. This is my first YouTube channel and I am very much still learning, but I intend this to become the best place to go on YouTube for content specifically about Humanism. There are hardly any YouTube channels specifically about Humanism, and I'm trying to fill that gap.
Right now I've got two main videos up, one about the 10 Biggest Misconceptions about Humanism, and one about the 6 Core Values of Humanism (What Humanists DO Believe).
I'd love it if you would subscribe to my channel to help the content reach more people, and if you have questions or comments, comment on the videos - that will help people see it too.

- DO feel free to jump in at any point; this thread will be up for about a week, and at the very least, I will be checking in and listening to submissions. Simple one-mic recordings are perfectly acceptable.
- DO give feedback to others instead of just posting your own music
- DO give specific advice
- DO ask questions about decisions
- DO be respectful; comments like "this song sucks" doesn't help anyone.
- DO provide your lyrics and any relevant information. [Although optional]
- DO NOT say anything at all if you have nothing positive to say (this should never be the case).
- DO NOT attack people if they criticize your work; take it as an opportunity to make improvements
I hate red tape and bureaucracy so let's keep these nice and easy:
-Any type of recording will be fine. Any type of streaming link will be fine as well.
I think this will be a good chance to see what kind of services people use for streaming their music, what kind of recordings you can create, and what kind of recordings get noticed.
-Keep in mind that better quality recordings often receive better feedback, and it doesn't take a lot of equipment to make good recordings... and performance is the biggest part of a good recording! Practice with your metronome!
-Feel free to find others to collaborate with in the comments section!

2025.01.22 11:03 throwawaybcidontuse I’ve dropped out of high school recently and I feel incredibly lost.
I grew up in a really unstable situation, and I never liked school. No one’s ever helped me with anything school related in the entirety of my life, all the adults I grew up around were either addicted to drugs or alcohol. When I got older and got into high school I started bouncing from home to home, and transferring back and forth from 4 different high schools. In all reality I didn’t really do much of any of my work, I was so overwhelmed with how horrible my home-life was getting that school just made me feel even more terrible. After i turned 18 I decided to drop out of high-school because I would have had to take an entire extra year just to get my general’s diploma. I understand that this is completely my fault, and I have to live with the consequences of my actions, but no one has ever given me any guidance or direction in my whole life. Teachers and counselors all overlooked me and treated me as if I didn’t exist. My mom only cares about drugs and my dad is extremely abusive to any woman he has a relationship with. I feel so incredibly stupid and inadequate, like I’m less than everyone around me. I used to make beautiful art, art that made me feel so confident in my abilities but now i just cant find any joy in anything. I know everyone close to me looks down on me because I’ve wasted my potential, and I’m scared my entire life will be one gigantic struggle. I don’t want to stew in my own self-pity, because it’s pathetic and irresponsible. I feel as if my mind has completely gone blank, like theres nothing in my life that motivates me to keep going. I feel stuck in time and doomed to become like my parents.
