Hello! Soon to be newbie driver, will need insights!
I have my student driving permit issued last March 2024 and ngayon lang ako nakahanap ng oras mag apply for PDC (marami lang inasikado regarding family issues/work issues). Ngayong January din ako matatapos sa PDC at kung makapasa, ilang weeks bago ako makakapag apply for non pro license sa LTO? At tatanggapin pa rin ba ng LTO ang student driving permit ko kahit less than 6 months na lang at mag eexpire na yung permit?

Alrighty
I made a post a bit back about a Maze Rats hack I'm working on inspired by my work as an EMT. Essentially you'd play as retired adventurers going into dungeons to save PCs (yours or random ones).
I've been working on distilling my "big list of stuff that makes emergencies stressful" into some core themes/design principles. Time is an obvious one and a timer counting down to doom will be central to the game. But I wanted to build on that a bit.
One thing I'm chewing on right now is having "time based roll challenges" where the player doing something time sensitive (like freeing an adventurers from a trap while the room collapses and lava starts to spill in) have to roll a 10 on 2d6 X number of times before the timer reaches X:XX.
Any systems come to mind that have tried something similar? I'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel if possible.

2025.01.22 11:53 PollyParks Advice on *best* solutions for child’s bedroom dust mite allergies
Just looking for some guidance from those who are also allergic to dust mites. We are based in the UK.
My 4 yo has not had an allergy test yet, but we have an appointment with an ENT paediatrician in the next 6 weeks where I will ask for an allergy test to confirm this, and see if there are any other allergies.
For context- for the last 12 months my son has had recurring issues with his nose, the most we can ever find out is that “my nose is hurting”- notably this is an issue with sleep. He will wake up at 4am screaming in pain, dry sniffing over and over and over, and won’t be able to go back to sleep. On occasion he will also wake up during the night. Sometimes he will sniff and cry at bed time too. During the day, it is rare. This has impacted the whole family’s sleep and happiness, and I am determined to resolve it.
I thought it was hayfever for a while, but this continued through the whole winter. (May also be hayfever- will see what the allergy test says)
I have never suffered with allergies, and even though I have been to the GP 5+ times they never mentioned allergies, maybe very stupidly of me, I never thought it was allergies or the impact it can actually have on someone.
Anyway a few weeks ago I came across dust mite allergies. That day I cleaned his whole room, threw some toys away, hot washed his duvet, pillow, all bedding and soft toys. I put baking soda and lavender oil on his mattress and hoovered it. Hoovered under his bed and wet dusted around it. He started sleeping better, and not screaming about his nose which makes me believe he is indeed allergic to dust mites. After a week or so, it started again. I then realised this is a task which needs to be repeated frequently (which is fine.) things have been moderately better with me really keeping on top of it.
I have a hit list of purchases but I simply can’t afford them all at once. He is currently in a small single and it is my intention to get him a small double bed in the coming months too so I don’t want to over do it on expensive purchases to then have to re do them all in a few months.
Below is a list of things I can do and will implement right now- I need some guidance on the hit list of what was the most beneficial to you please!!!!
- he has had antihistamine most nights for the last few weeks which we will continue. -we have always put a hot bowl of steaming menthaltum under his bed to help the flow in his nose
- he now has an anti allergy mattress topper
- I will hot wash his bedding, Hoover under his bed and hoover his mattress with the oil and baking soda every 2 days -I will clean his stuffies in a hot wash and his mattress protector every week -dust daily -deep clean of his room weekly
Thank you all in advance any help would be great. Im beating myself up for letting this go on for so long without realising. My poor darling. I think it will improve his sleep and therefore his mood and behaviour and make us all a bit happier ❤️

Hi everyone, I live in a council property and whenever I report a repair it will take ages to sort it out and the KWL workers are not doing their jobs well at all. So it happened couple times now, they arrange an appointment between exact time and I had to wait all the day but the issue will that the KWL worker will come and put a card in the post that I was not here or will come and wait for more than an hour outside the property, I have seen them through the window. The first couple of times I assumed I did not hear them Knocking the door even though there is intercom system in the property which is pretty laud. So anyone experienced something similar or it is just the area that I live. Thanks an advance for all your responses
