 | Found this little bug when using a toothbrush to clean out dust accumulated in the frame of my bed, underneath the mattress. There's a picture of it on a piece of tape with my hand for comparison, and a zoomed in picture I got of in my bin amongst the dust and stuff. I did go to Europe earlier this year, and saw some bedbugs in places, but I quarantined all my stuff for around a month and then ran it all through a dryer and that, so just praying this thing hasnt come from that. I haven't noticed any bites or anything, and I've only seen this one. Please lmk if it's a bed bug or just some random mite or something. Please help, I can't find the unedited Carl Sagan Pale Blue Dot speech, where he narrates the perspective of someone flying towards earth, and talks about how close they'd have to get before they could make out human habitation and civilization. Am I remembering it from the wrong video?
The official "'Lost' Lecture / Pale Blue Dot" video from the Carl Sagan institute seems to jump cut for some reason, and the other videos coming up in google search are all limited to the quotable-quote that's almost verbatim from the book. But I remember hearing a version where he takes the perspective of someone not from earth, flying towards it from beyond Jupiter, and how long it would take the visitor to realize we're here based on visible signs of intelligent life.
