Hey guys,
Just wanted to help you out incase any of you were thinking of taking a course with this guy as the the coordinator. I will keep it respectful so that I dont get banned, but this guy is possibly the worst coordinator I have ever had. His course democracy and dictatorships is abysmal for a third year politics course. Dude took a whole lecture to summarise what the apartheid is. He has a fetish for latin america, no I'm not joking his wife is from there and it's all he talks about (What a coincidence, he teaches Latin American politics).
Need help with the course? Don't bother asking him he doesn't care and will do his best to not support you. Looking for interesting material that goes beyond surface level beginner stuff? You will not find it in any of his courses, his essays could be answered in a singular sentence and his final exam was a quizlet word match but he still found a bs way to mark it harshly.
Finally, his attitude is absolutely abhorrent. No respect for anyone around him or anyone different from him. Is completely lacking in self awareness and detached from reality. I truly hope they fire this guy.

I've been looking for smart glasses for years now and they're looking pretty good these days, except they all have chatgpt stuffed inside them 😭
Does anyone have any suggestions or just places to start looking? The ones by brilliant labs looked promising, there were some pretty good apps and a lua SDK but all the reviews I read were pretty bad in terms of the actual product. It also looks like something else that was just designed to have chatgpt stuffed inside of it.
This is the closest I've seen so far, so if anyone else knows of something along these lines it'd be much appreciated.

Von Montag bis Freitag arbeite ich von 9:30 bis 18:15 Uhr mit einer 30-minütigen Pause (das ergibt insgesamt 41 Stunden und 15 Minuten pro Woche). Wenn ich samstags arbeite, sind die Stunden kürzer (von 9:30 bis 16:30 Uhr), sodass ich an diesen Wochen nur 39 Stunden arbeite (meistens einmal oder zweimal im Monat).
Zurzeit habe ich viele Überstunden gesammelt, die ich kaum nutzen kann, weil wir ein wenig unterbesetzt sind. Eine Auszahlung der Überstunden ist keine ideale Option für mich, und ich möchte das lieber vermeiden.
Ich habe überlegt, meinen Chef nach einem Vertrag über 40 Stunden statt 37,5 Stunden zu fragen, damit ich weniger Überstunden ansammle. Aber ich frage mich, ob mir das langfristig wirklich etwas bringt. Würde sich das positiv auf meine Altersvorsorge oder ähnliche Dinge auswirken, oder würde es einfach mein Gehalt etwas erhöhen, ohne dass es langfristig einen Unterschied macht?

I need to do 1.1L bank transfer from my account to someone else's and I am tight on funds right now as I am relocating next week to a metro city so understandly need to keep funds handy. I am wondering if can utlize my CCs to somehow transfer the amount to my bank account and then transfer it to receiver. Is it wise to do this? Considering TXN charges? Any tax liabilities etc.
Also since I am unware is it possible that I can use CC with UPI to do P2P transactions. I see the option to pay with CC on UPI only merchants and not P2P. correct me if I am wrong? If I can do this then I ll just use my existing funds to do that 1.1L transfer and reserve my CCs for my relocation expenses.

2025.01.22 11:46 healthierlurker One year today! This past year of sobriety has been transformational. Here’s to many more years of sobriety ahead of me!
Last January I was in a bad way. Was drinking half a bottle of expensive bourbon per night, multiple bottles per week, often more on weekends. I started hiding it from my family and would sneak drinks before going out. My wife had been pushing me to quit drinking for a while and I just couldn’t do it.
It came to a head that final weekend when my mom saw that I had a bottle of bourbon delivered to the house after work on Friday and said “you need help. You’re an alcoholic and need AA.”
I continued to drink that weekend and finished the bottle and then some, but then Monday on my way home from the office I had a call with my psychiatrist and told her how much I’d been drinking. She told me “I can’t treat you if you’re drinking like this. You need substance abuse counseling.”
I called my wife after and told her to hide the expensive liquor (had a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle out) and dump the rest. I went to my first AA meeting that night and continued to go every day thereafter for months.
Now I go 5 or so times a week over Zoom. I have a sponsor. Im on step 4. My life has improved dramatically and I am coping with stress in so much healthier ways.
