9 month old is sharing room with almost 5 yr old. We moved her out of our room a approximately 6 months of age. She is able to fall asleep by herself and has a solid nap schedule and bedtime routine. The problem is that my older girl likes to read books before she goes to bed with a lamp on. It’s a soft light, not super bright, but is just enough that baby thinks it’s playtime when we put them to bed and won’t fall asleep until the older girl turns the light off. However, sometimes that’s not for another half hour, and by that time baby is overtired, so after the light goes off she has trouble falling asleep and will cry and that bothers the older girl, and she won’t stop crying until I go in and rock her to sleep. So she’s not falling asleep independently, and then wakes up more during the night and has early morning wakings. When she is in our room and it’s dark, she has no problem falling asleep by herself. But we don’t want her in our room anymore and she needs to share a room with her older sister. How can we make this work? Any creative ideas? We don’t want to tell our older girl she can’t read books anymore because it might lead to resentment of the baby and we like that she has that healthy habit to help her calm down and get ready for sleep and we want to encourage that. However, it does need to be dark for baby. We’ve tried giving our older girl a small book light, which she does use sometimes, but it isn’t ideal and she doesn’t like using it all the time because it’s not bright enough. We’ve also tried having baby fall asleep in our room and then just transfer her before we go to sleep, but that seems to disturb her sleep as well. We have a small room being used as an office that we could move baby to, but I see this as a temporary solution as eventually she would have to move back to the shared room and we’ll be back in the same boat. I’ve also thought of something like a slumber pod but don’t want baby to become dependent on that either and also seems like a temporary solution to me - eventually the slumber pod will have to come down. Ideas?

2025.01.22 12:55 IT_CHAMP I've decided to give up on College after watching LimmyTalks

I just came across a video by this obviously genius individual. He was talking about one student who had a 1580, 3.9, ISEF Finalist and 8 APs. He applied to only ivies (obviously) and got rejected from every single one of them. Oh he applied to one state school and is now being forced to go there, some school in LA... I think it was one of those UC thingies. Tbh i would rather not go to college than have to go to a state school.
Anyways I have identical stats to that guy and if he didn't get in, then theres no point in me even applying. I mean, this Limmy guy seems so real. this can't be fake.
so anyways, i'm gonna give up i think. I knew I shouldve studied more and get a 1600, 4.0 but oh well. I'll prolly travel europe and then run my dads investment fund.

To make a more convincing argument instead of looking at BAN I will look at a coin that is far worse than ours, no offense to Garliccoin: Released during the first meme coin bubble in Feb 2018 it skyrocketed to 41 mils market cap before nosediving to a loss of 99.4% in value in the following bear market. The coin can be described as boring at best. It's a mediocre meme with mediocre tech forked from LTC. It costs you 10 cents to tip someone. The community presence is weak, most people left since the price crash. There is no utilities being developed.
So this uninteresting coin with a diabolical sell pressure because of the 99.4% crash still pumped in 2021 meme coin season by a whopping 12000%. It highlights how unreasonable and greedy the market was during a real meme coin season.
Right now, Solana is siphoning up all the liquidity. Every altcoin isn't doing too hot especially those associated with BAN's ecosystem: XNO, ETH etc. In particular ETH is still below its ATH and that is without factoring in inflation.
IMO, the market still requires careful observation. Maybe the SOL bubble will pop and the liquidity will be redirected to create an alt season with microcap/meme season that follows. Maybe it will not then we can only hope our daddy bitcoin pump higher to save everyone. But regardless, it isn't fair to put blame on BAN for not performing on par with 2021 as the market was highly unreasonable back then. Maybe the unreasonableness will return who knows, every super cycle wouldn't be complete without unreasonable greed. And I just want to say BAN is better in every way compared to last cycle.
