With all the discussion of Britain/Great Britain not being in the game, thought it would be generate a discussion about why many do not consider that England is still in the game.
The Normans were a dynasty that ruled England between 1066 and 1216. But the capital city in England was London (really Westminster) and we are getting the White Tower, built by William the Conquerer as a world wonder. Both English. And yes, the Normans were really just French speaking Vikings who conquered England in 1066 and then ruled both England a huge part of what is now France.
So the question becomes - what is the consensus on this particular civilization? Is it not recent enough to be considered English? Do we have recency bias? The current king of England is descended from William the Conquerer. I am genuinely curious why some people don't consider the Normans to be an English civilization. There's definitely crossover with the French - so its not purely English. I guess it will depend on what the city list is to determine how the Civ creators are thinking of this civilization. Like will Rouen be a city?
Personally I'd have loved to see someone from the Plantagenets like Henry V or Edward I. But that's just me loving the medieval English period.

I was fired from my job 4 months ago and since then I have a dream that I’m still working there about once à week. I never got closure about the real reason I was fired. It was very sudden. We were a small team of four and very understaffed.
In my dreams, I’ve been called back to work, still fired, but helping them for free / as a slave because we were so understaffed and I’m helping them solve work emergencies. Thé tension is so awkward bc everyone knows I suck at my job and everyone knows I was fired. It’s a humiliating dream. My boss is always love bombing me or showing me lots of attention in these dreams bc she needs me. I’m always confused in these dreams, “why am I still here? I thought I was fired? I wish I could leave. I hate these people”
Does this happen to anyone else? How can I make these go away? Wish I could be paid for working in my sleep, ugh.

2025.01.22 13:08 violent_luna123 Should I keep searching for a PSO scope or just keep the 2,8x one on VSD and keep playing
Heey, I found VSD from someone's body in Berezino and two 10-rounder mags for it. It only had a damaged (cracked) 2,8x scope. I left some other stuff from his body like 2 pistols, ammo etc. in my chest and filled it to full. I grabbed a pistol myself with that VSD and I went to the small military base with 4 barracks north of Krasnotav to perhaps find a PSO scope, I remember these smaller mil bases often dropped stuff like these scopes because they didnt spawn much weapons etc. so I decided to leave my character there and log in from time to time to check the respawned stuff.
But I've gathered some pistol mags, some ammo and I got MP5 with 2 mags for it so Im getting my inventory bloated a bit XD
Tbh other than finding the PSO scope, I wanted to go and find some nails to expand the mentioned little stash near Berezino and stash these things that I wouldnt need.. so, I got a bit annoyed that Im just bloating my inventory, I planned to find the PSO scope and move on to industrial areas to look for nails..... but it's DayZ where planning to loot something usually doesnt end up wroking. Then, another 2,8x scope spawned but this time not destroyed so it doesnt have cracks on it and I replaced the damage one with it.
Do you think I should just progress on with the 2,8x and just dont bother with looking for PSO for now? I would propably stash the stuff I have right now and perhaps go and PvP around some small towns etc. if I find some nails. I would just bring a pistol because if I had that 2,8x on VSD, its for pretty short ranges so I'd use the VSD most of the times by default even in some buildings I quess.. but instead of sniping with a PSO and enjoy its long-range power, I'd have to get a little bit closer etc.
So what do you think, is the 2,8x on VSD so bad I should seek to replace it as my main goal so I should just ignore it and keep going forward and keep looking for nails etc.? Btw. if I die with that VSD because I ran too close to some place I dont care that much because Im fine using any weapon so I'd just grab something else if I had that stash ready.
I wanted to log-in for a longer session so I think I should just move on for now to look for these nails and if I happen to find some, maybe I will come back to the base later when I already emptied my inventory again?

Level 1000 players, how tf did you get to that level and how long did it take you?
Like did you grind it all the way or used bugs and exploits sometimes along the way-multiple trader delivery wagon glitch for example?
I'm currently at level 450 and it takes efing forever to level up, like I went through the whole map (multiple times XD) collecting every item and selling it to madam nazar for double collectors month and for one complete map run and collecting every item I only leveled up like 4 or 5 levels for grinding 10 to 12 hours.
Any secrets how to level up? I'm currently only after xp, don't need money or gold really, I bought everything I wanted.

80% of the ladder right now is Zerg DK, there's way too much synergy on this deck, reborn tools and yelling Yodler will endlessly buff zergs. Reska feeds on your board getting cleared and also benefits from reborn. Viper is absolutely broken, its basically Dirty Rat but it ALSO gives reborn to all of your zerg minions. They were smoking some strong opium when they thought this up. Zergs as a faction are also stupidly good, they have tons of engines just filling up your hand with Zergs.
The only counter play I found was playing Terran Warrior, with board control and shit tons of armor. And pray to the tavern master they don't pull off a huge Reska reborn play.
It's like fire mage meta all over again, but even worse.
