2025.01.22 15:48 asmeus Some miniatures is "pushing" back paint
Hey!
I'm trying to paint War of the Ring miniatures. Have previously painted quite a lot Legion/Shatterpoint/board games.
Issue is specific to Army Painter speed paints & more liquid regular army painter paints.
I washed the minis with dish washer soap. Rinsed them heavily. Used army painter white primer.
When painting, some of the minis tries to "push back" speed paints. Instead of sticking to primer, it gathers in spots, leaving other areas as they were before applying color.
For the first batch of 4 horses, the issue was with 1 of the minis! With second batch of 10 footmen, issue was with 2 of the minis. With last batch of 5 horses, more or less, issue is with all of them.
Would be glad for any clue, what could be the issue.
Primer is running low, but with previous primers, it was still fine till it was spraying almost empty air. I'm priming in underground garage, not freezing, but low temperature. But why is the issue then for only some of the minis. Last batch I carefully washed and cleansed each miniature.
Really ruining painting, that some of them can be painted quickly with speed paint, some of them need 2-3 layers of it, or even additonal paint matching with regular layer paint. :(

so i got myself to do a cake for me and my family. but it was first for me, for my snacks for the next 3-4 days. i made it with sugar, butter & chocolate everything i once feared. didn't go on a healthier version as i want to crave things again. BUT only did i know, i was soo hungry so i ate a portion. then another with nutella. then the whole cake, half the nutella jar & more chocolate snacks (+ i snaked on chocolate while making it). i'm still hungry. physically full but i can't stop. my family is judging me rn
BUT I KNOW it's my brain saving me. i'm not weight restored, still pretty far from it, haven't my period, my digestion is so poor. yet everyone tells me it's not normal, i will keep eating 5 meals + 3 snacks literally all my life if i keep going. my dad said i gained weight and it don't look good (i gained some but it's far from my pre-ed weight)
PLEASE does it stop. i hate feeling nauseous, painfully full, bloated, severe constipation, no cravings except chocolate.... I WANT TO EAT like pre ed đ

I know the Romans didn´t have AC units or Central Heating as we understand them today, so what was Ronon Dex referring to?

Started full time work for 6 months and the same routine of work and sleep everyday here with no meaningful progress is killing me. What am I supposed to do when I have nothing to show for myself in terms of finances, social relations, talents or achievements. I'm perpetually stuck in an endless loop of mediocrity while literally everyone I know is doing better than me in every regard.

Random bi guy from Norway here. I watched the inauguration speech and the executive orders being rolled out in the US and I am completely baffled at the corruption, but most of all the outright cruelty. Using a marginalized community as a scapegoat, right out of the dictators playbook.
I want to know what I can do to support trans people in the US. The only tangible support I can think of is direct monetary donations. After doing some research the ACLU seems like one of the best options, as they have a good track record. Is my interpretation correct? Is there other organizations that I can donate to as well? Finally, is there any other way to be of use for someone living a shielded life abroad?
