 | Sorry for the bad pic, my screenshot command isn't working on my Chromebook for some reason, and it's been raining for a couple days in my world, tired of waiting for the sun. This is my base, it's composed of 5 buildings, 3 of which are connected with covered bridges. I've only ever lived in the meadows. I am entering the iron age for the first time, so I'll have a stonecutter. Is it worth moving to a new area? I feel like I'm limiting my experience by only living in meadows like this, and was curious as to what everybody's favorite biomes are and why. Also, I really do hate myself, and I show it through videogames. Meaning no biome is off the table. Does anybody live underground somehow? What about tree bases in the swamps? Hello!
I've made a mod for Conan Exiles, a clothing mod to be precise. This was all done in an old version of UE4. Since last year, I've moved on from that project. I've been wanting to make my own videogame for a while. I was able to make the art, but it would take me a long time and I couldn't do any coding. Considering this unrealistic and I kind of gave up on the ideas I had in mind.
That is until I started learning Python and C# for both my job and my studies. Suddenly I was learning things related to Unity and I figured I could apply the things I was learning into a videogame project.
Before I start with this project, I have a couple of questions, and I would love to hear feedback on my idea and questions.
The idea, this is a rough sketch: I have the intention to create a game from isometric viewpoint, similar to Habbo Hotel. I'd like to mix it with Ghibli pixel art graphics. But obviously give my own twist to it. The idea is to create somewhat of an open world in a bright steampunk setting. The player can own a house or apartment (perhaps both), decorate it, do quests, earn reputation with factions, etc. The initial idea is to make this singleplayer, but I do like the idea of being able to visit each others plots through a co-op or multiplayer function one way or another. Or perhaps turn it into a social game along the way.
Questions:
Artstyle I'm experienced with both 2D and 3D art design and I've done a little bit of both. Making an entire 3D world on my own feels daunting, because it would require a lot of different actions, from sculpting, texturing in different programs, animating, etc. While I don't mean to downplay the 2D art process, I feel like it's more monotone in nature, allowing me to work in Aseprite and Unity most of the time only. Would you say my assumption is correct?
Online / Offline My true dream would be to make a videogame that's online. I don't want to make people purchase servers though, and I don't want to force myself to host servers either until I'm sure the game is profitable. Is this something I have to pin down prior to creating a game, or can I change this in retrospect?
IP's My fantasy is usually inspired by several IP's, in this case Avatar The Last Airbender - Avatar Korra era but also League of Legends and obviously also Habbo Hotel. I don't want to straight up copy them, neither do I want to create a game that is set in those universes. What do I need to be careful of when developing a videogame inspired by others IP's?
Modular clothing I want to make the player characters customizable and modular. So that you can change your clothes, etc. Basically just like Habbo Hotel, but the characters will be stylized a bit differently. Any advice on how to go about that? I am not sure how Habbo Hotel did this, but I am assuming that for every t-shirt, every pair of pants, every hairstyle, etc. an artist made a sprite?
Furthermore, I would love some feedback on what you think of my idea. If you think it's original or not at all, if it's something you think people will like. And if you think I'll be able to pull it off on my own.

Jag skrev häromdagen om mina problem med leder som gör ont och fick idag träffa fysioterapeut. Vi började med axlarna men tyvärr kunde hon inte riktigt pricka in var felet satt eftersom att i princip allting gjorde ont och varenda rörelse var ansträngd. Vi kom fram till ungefär att jag måste fundera på andra arbetsuppgifter långsiktigt och att vi ska ses om två veckor igen och fortsätta. Fram tills dess ska jag göra övningar i hopp om att minska smärtan.
Jag har alltid som vana att kolla journalen direkt efteråt för att se att jag förstått rätt och att det inte blivit någon miss i kommunikationen. När jag läste där så stod det att vi skulle gå vidare med bland annat att "utesluta CTÖ". Jag har googlat frenetiskt men hittar ingenting som är relaterat.
Det var ett par fysioterapeuter som svarade i den andra tråden, kanske kan ni hjälpa mig nu med?

I know that the new Airpod Pro 2 can be used as a hearing aid when adjusted after testing with the Mimi app. I've sort of done this with my current Airpod Pro (1st generation) where you can also adjust transparency mode after getting results from the Mimi app. That said, does anyone know the difference between the Airpod Pro 1 and 2 from this perspective? Does the "2" have more frequencies it can amplify?

Regardless of the consistency of his filmography theres no denying he did his greatest work his way & set a sort of template in being a young Director who could generate alot of money for independent movies as well as critical acclaim & audience good will. Halloween is an absolute masterpiece & hugely important piece of pop culture & even though it was dismissed upon its release, The Thing is now quite rightly regarded as one of the greatest horror movies ever made, surpassing movies it was unfavourably compared to at the time such as Alien. There is also the fact that the musical scores he wrote for his movies, especially Assault on Preceint 13, Halloween & Escape From New York were all terrific & permeated into the mainstream public consciousness - a very rare occurrence indeed. Honouring John would also be the perfect nod to his earliest collaborator,the late Debra Hill whom he created his greatest work with. I think whether your a horror fan or not you have to appreciate the creation of Michael Myers, one of the greatest movie villains of all time & the fact the character has become legendary & will be remembered forever & he is 100% a cinematic creation
Can you imagine if Jamie Lee Curtis & Kurt Russell came out to introduce Carpenter as a honorary Oscar winner & that being the cue for him & his band to rock out & perform his greatest musical themes? Then maybe Michael Myers hands him his Oscar? I would love to see that.

Japanese sellers - most of the sellers have free postage. But customs are close to 50% of the price of item. Takes 2-4 weeks to ship .
China sellers - less than 7$ shipping. Many lower invoice amounts for customs. If it comes by post its close to 30-40% takes 2 weeks max
Buy from PSA official - 32 $ fixed postage. Comes in 4-5 days in Fed Ex. Recommend buy multiple items to reduce postage and convenience charge in fedex
Buy from US and Europe - 16-32$ postage. Sent via USPS which later merges to India post for final delivery
Post - Track in India post - charges 30+ customs. Pay in cash to post master FedEx - generally charges 1000rs convenience charge + customs which is very high. Pay before delivery. Sometimes invoice is not asked and they charge 77% customs. DHL - best tracking. Charges 1000rs convenience + customs. Pay before delivery. USPS - most of the items went duty free for USPS. But which gets, ends up 50% customs like india post
Overall average customs was 50% of ordered item total cost.
Recommend to not buy from Japan thinking free postage. It will be very slow and cost will be almost every time 50% customs
