2025.01.22 18:20 NPM99 Looking at a Vintage Technics SL230 turntable, what actually "upgrades" vs my AT LP60XBT?
We have a ~3 year old AT LP60XBT. A guy local to me is selling a vintage Technics SL230 turntable (initial asking $185, looks to be in great shape). I recognize the LP60 is a very common first foray into vinyl. Would this be a notable upgrade? This would go into a vintage Yamaha CR420 receiver and Klipsch KG4 speakers so matches the vintage setup (the AT is not hooked to either of these today).
Certainly a newbie question - what actually does upgrade by stepping up TTs?

I'm not exactly heartbroken or surprised, but in this case it's not even necessarily supporting Elon, X, or Trump. Just questioning the value of such a ban is enough to get your comment removed or you potentially banned.

Galgenwaard ken ik natuurlijk al, en ik ben ook een paar keer bij de Vechtse banen geweest om ijshockey te kijken (aanrader!). Maar het lijkt me leuk om mijn horizon te verbreden en op nog meer andere plekken in Utrecht sport te kijken. Had a customer place a large value order. Delivery date was yesterday, it’s been in her city since then but they got snow for the first time in forever and everything is a mess so it doesn’t look like it’s coming today even. It should arrive before the weekend which is when I assume she actually needs it by but she has said she wants a $700 refund if it doesn’t come today. My exact words when shipping were that her estimated delivery date was the 21st. Never guaranteed anything but also not sure how Etsy will handle it since it’s not covered by buyeseller protection.

As I mentioned in earlier posts, I'm almost 59 and suspect I may have ADHD. I have suffered from anxiety over the last 35 years of which there has been no underlying cause identified. I also feel I meet many of the criteria for ADHD such as difficulty in school/college right up to today where I continually have problems with focus and motivation. I'm also hyperactive mentally and find it difficult to sit in the one place for an extended period of time.
I asked my GP to refer me to Dr. Murtagh as my preference was to see a psychiatrist as I'm currently on SSRIs. To my surprise, I got an appointment for early May. I've read here and elsewhere that it could be up to 2 years.
The appointment is online rather than in-person. Not really a big deal but now wondering if I should just go with Dr. Jaime Martinez as I'll likely see him even quicker. I know both are well rated.
The other thing Dr. Murtagh asked is that someone accompany me for part of the session. Preferably someone who could speak about how I was in my younger years. I'm not sure about this given my age. My father could add a bit, and I have spoken to him about it. He doesn't have any school reports, but just recalls, "could do better", "doesn't pay attention", etc. He said he wasn't surprised that I may have ADHD looking back, but it wasn't a think in the 70s/early 80s.
My wife can attest that I'm moody and can be distant and have a short temper at times, but she's not sure what else she could add, and I don't think she's too keen to be that involved.
Has anyone else had someone else input into their diagnosis? I can see the point with younger people, not sure with someone my age.
