2025.01.22 19:24 DangerDray Change/Cancel Return Flight mid-trip (Classic Rewards)
I’ve seen a better use of points pop up departing from a different city, business instead of my current PE.
I’ve already commenced my round trip however, so am unable to just change online. I’m tempted to cancel, but just nervous the points won’t return in time (head back home in about 13 days, but flight could vanish easily too).
I’m going to give them a ring when I get back to my hotel this evening, but just wanted to see if anyone had any idea of the likelihood of this?
In short, I’m hoping/wanting to swap my current departure flight for a different one and pay the points/tax difference just like you do with a normal change. Just unsure if things are different once a trip has commenced.

I just got my new soldering station after my previous one died on me. I went ahead and tested if the T12 tip is connected to earth, which I found out, it isn't. Is this bad and if so how should I fix it?
There are two methods of delivering power to the iron:
- a 24V DC Barrel jack, for which the T12 tip is connected to GND
- a 3 pin AC jack, which the tip isn't connected to anything

Can we put some data behind our claims in a table? Rows for each product, and at least columns for date purchased, frequency of use?, product category, date last used, date of expired usefulness, cost, and maybe some more? This seems crazy but I would like to make our claims more valuable to the community. For example, one person claims a product is bifl but then the product are snow shoes and they live in Tahiti. One the other end of the spectrum someone recommends a knife that they use on a commercial fishing vessel every day chopping samples from bycatch for 40 years. If this works out we could go back through historical posts and glean this info or request from op. Thoughts?

She tracks her miles and is reimbursed through her company, however, our $43,000 vehicle has a current fair market value of $25,000. If we can get a total on her miles from her company records, would one of us be able to claim the depreciation if the depreciation value exceeds the amount she was reimbursed?

Just a quick question: For whatever reason, the smart smoothing functions is not working as intended. Y even downloaded the pic showing this filter in the oficial manual an the results are completely different. See pic. To the left the manual and sample image, to the right the same pic with the filter applied to the Max.
The results are not even close. I tried CSP 3.0 to same results.
Any suggestions?

I’m 24, working as a biomedical scientist in a private histology lab in London, earning £42k. While that’s relatively high for this role, the work feels mundane, and career progression is limited (senior or lab manager much later). I do love my job but I can already see myself getting tired of it in a few years.
Like anyone else, I’m interested in earning more, but I also want to find a clearer path forward. I want to do a master’s, but I struggle to see the value it would add to my career.
What can I do day-to-day to build skills, find an interest, or explore potential career paths? Are there any free courses worth looking into?
What can I aim for to have a more challenging and fulfilling role while being successful and increasing my earning potential? Not to mention better working conditions (perhaps a day working from home, no cold formalin rooms, clocking in and out etc)
