Hello! I know that answer is likely to be yes haha, but I still wanted to ask some questions.
I've had an eye out on GalCiv 3 for a while now, and I've been considering to buy it on the nearest Steam sale. Of all things, aside from the graphics which I find quite charming, the ship designer in particular is what caught my attention. It's a great feature to design your own starships down to the shape and components!
Now the 4X space genre is not new to me, with over 1000 hours in Stellaris, I am quite familiar with it. Opinions vary, some say that GalCiv 3 isn't challenging to get a hold of, while others say that it is overwhelming for beginners. Though as a long-time Stellaris player so I suppose I should be acquainted with the learning curve.
Considering this is a turn-based game, I'd assume It's not that much of a problem, but is late-game lag a major problem here? Or is it barely noticable?
Would you recommend this game to someone in 2025? And if so, are there any tips I should now if I do get the game?

My 5yo kitty Booby has been either sick/injured for about a week and a half now, been to multiple vets had blood tests, x-rays, etc.. everything looked relatively normal and we can’t seem to figure out exactly what’s going on- her symptoms include lethargy, loss of appetite, not using the box (specifically not pooping) but most of all she seems to be having a lot of trouble getting up/walking around which is believe is the cause of most of her other symptoms because she will eat if her food its brought to her. i basically had a week long anxiety attack because we could not figure out what was going on with her!! the current theory is she injured a muscle in her back legs playing with our kitten. mercifully she’s been improving over the last couple days, she’s been getting up and walking around a bit and she’s able to go to the litter box on her own now. now at this point my biggest concern is her water intake. i haven’t physically seen her drink any water all week, however me and my partner both work all day so there’s a chance she has been drinking from her fountain while we’re gone but i’m pretty sure she still just sleeps the entire day because she’s usually in the exact same spot when we get home. i have been adding water to both her wet and dry food and she usually eats a solid amount of it so i know she’s at least getting a little bit of hydration but i’m just wondering if it’s enough? her skin elasticity is pretty decent but i know if cats are dehydrated they tend to not rehydrate themselves. we have several water bowls and a fountain that i change often (she’s also very skittish and will not take water from a syringe) if anyone has and advice on getting her more hydrated or even just ideas on what could be going on at all it would be greatly appreciated! i have been a wreck all week because she’s my baby and she saved my life so i want to make hers as good as it possibly can be and i feel like im doing a terrible job.

Quando viajo no Brasil, eu já despacho a minha mala de mão que poderia perfeitamente ir a bordo, apenas pra não ter que ficar carregando ela pelo aeroporto e não ter que despachar no finger.
Vou pra Europa (com uma conexão em GRU, airfrance) apenas com a mala de bordo, e não tenho bagagem despachada.
Como funciona nesse caso? Normalmente sobra espaço no bagageiro do 777? Se não houver espaço no bagageiro interno do meu vôo no Brasil, a mala vai direto pro destino final, mesmo eu não tendo direito a bagagem despachada?
Também vou fazer um trecho interno, de airfrance. Como funciona isso por lá? Sempre sobra espaço nos bagageiros?

I've been wanting to get a scorpion for a while now but, I heard bad things like oob discharges.That seems to have been fixed by the nexus reciever. So I have a question about the Nexus evo. I want to get one but am a little confused on some things. Do i have to buy a scorpion, then buy the nexus to put it on the scorpion? Or since the nexus is the serialized part as stated on their website, can I get that and buy a lower reciever seperatly? If so, where can I get one cause I can't seem to find one anywhere.

2025.01.22 17:08 Mrs-SawHorse My Friend's Elderly Parents Dodged the Scam, But Only by Sheer Luck
This is one of those scams that terrify the elderly into immediate action. My friend (I'll call her "Sally" to make this story flow better) was recently travelling home via rental car after visiting her adult children and her elderly parents. A few days after Sally arrived home, her elderly mother called her to ask her how to "get the money to" her. Sally, of course asked, "WHAT money?"
Sally's elderly mother said that she was trying to send money pay Sally's bail. Her elderly mother had received a call on their landline house phone in which she thought Sally was crying and asking for her parents' help. Then a scammer pretending to be law enforcement told the elderly lady that Sally had hit an 8-month-pregnant lady with her car and was to be charged with manslaughter if the lady or infant died. They asked this elderly lady to go to the bank to get $17,000 in cash to send for the bail. The elderly lady and her husband immediately set off for the bank (in the very small town) and were trying to make it happen. They were tripped up a few times by sheer luck as they tried to either get a cashier's check or wire the funds. At some point they were on the elderly ladies cell phone with the scammer while at the bank. The details are unclear, but eventually a bank employee alerted the supervisor at the bank branch, and he had them call Sally directly. The money was not lost, but the elderly lady still asked Sally, "How is the lady and the baby that you hit???"
This elderly couple are "in their right minds," and strongly resent and resist their adult kids in assisting them with advice. That happens a lot, and makes them very vulnerable. Sally's mom is trying to sell some items online, not sure what platform, but that could have been one of the ways in which the scammers were able to hone in on her.

Well guys it happened to me too. I got my job offer rescinded for the patent examiner (physics) position. I did everything. I went through the entire onboardeding process, filled out every piece of paperwork and accepted the official offer letter through USAJobs and they just sent me an email saying they have to rescind the offer because of Trumps hiring freeze. 4 months of work just down the drain.I feel so hopeless.

Hey y’all I was talking to my husband about my educational experience and I realized how well I have been educated throughout my public school experience in predominantly black schools due to growing up in a predominantly black area. I just feel like I had a experience that was centered in blackness even when I was bullied it made sense 😅( I was lame yall 😂) but I digress the experience itself was wonderful supportive and formative and school partially taught me how to be “black”.
I’m just curious if some black people had the same experience as me and if not what was your experience like at predominantly yt schools?
