Soooooooo…… I’m the type of person that can shut my brain off when reading and really immerse into the world of that book or piece of media . I mean I’m a big manhwa novel reader and some of these machine translated novels are not very good yet my brain perseveres because I like the contents . I like trash occasionally .
Now I saw a clip of the author being extremely hilarious and saw the comments really really obsessing over shatter me . So I bought the series . Read it .
It was eh kind of good in the beginning like surprisingly I enjoyed the first book and the second book was good too but the third book was great !!
It all changed on restore me . Halfway through it was just a very hard hard read . I accidentally spilt water all over the book too so it’s looking rough but still it’s the contents that I just disliked . It made me think and relise like bro … what am I reading … what are these metaphors and why is everyone so dumb . The “war” is poorly written I feel like there’s barely any explanation for anything on why things happen and the wiping memory thing seems cheap . And as soon as you think one thing happens the author is like nuh uh ACTUALLY THIS HAPPEEND and over and over and over and over …..
I do love kenji as a character he’s fun , relatable , well written , not annoying . I can’t get into Juliet anymore , my brain is just confused and numb ? And Aaron was being annoying in restore to the point I just was so fed up with their love . I don’t feel it . Maybe I’ve read the book upside down or what .
I just finished defy me and I feel eh . I’m really trying to force myself to like it since it’s soooo hyped and soooo liked by so many people . I love Aminasnotokay and she loved it so I thought well maybe I’m not seeing something .
I might re read it later down the line . Sometimes I think the issue is me and not the book but honestly I do think it’s a great plot . Just poorly done
( I’ve also read all the novellas before defy me and find i enjoyed them since it expanded on the characters thought process and feelings though if I were to read the book alone I would be more confused than I already am )

you can call me Andrromeda, and i am fairly new to AC. i have New Horizons on my switch - and unfortunately no friends to play the game with me, as it's not a game popular among my social circles. D: so here i am, looking for a pal, lol.
A little about my island - cherry island located in the northeren hemisphere, UHT -2. I got my island in around may i think, and it's been going great! i recently got Brewster, and i have everything i need, ish.
Back to the point, i need friends! It's not so easy to navigate around this game all by myself, not easy trying to build a good island either!! so what i hope to gain other than online friendship, is some good advice on how to build a good island layout, and generally good basic advice for advanced-beginners.
i have joined a community on discord, but it's hard to navigate around those waters, as i am still new to all of this, i was hoping i could get some advice and guiding on manners and etiquettes around those too, including treasure islands.
Idk, i can definitely talk more about a lot more other things about ACNH, so let's talk!

I have a newborn who is less than 6 weeks old. We got an au pair to be with my oldest during the birth. She had a planned cruise and then her friend was coming from overseas to visit the states afterward. However, she got sick on her cruise and then instead of resting and recovering, she went to NYC and got even sicker. I paid her for the week off during her cruise (she’s only with us 3 months and we already bought her a new iphone to thank her for helping around the clock while i was at the hospital after giving birth). However im starting to grow frustrated with her blatant disregard for bringing germs into the house. I know she wants to see America. But also my baby can get a brain infection and die, he is so young. We stayed in the house for 8 weeks with his brother to give his immune system a fighting chance. Anyway, we knew cocooning wasn’t an option this time around but the NYC trip was not agreed upon before hiring her and im tired of paying to watch both this. This is week #2 she can’t work. Anyway my question is wwyd and do you pay them for vacation and sick weeks when their whole stay is 12 weeks?

2025.01.22 18:20 Vast-Kitchen-1569 If you could add a new place and/or a feature to a already existing place what would you add?
Personally I think adding a library as a new place would be cool they could ask for pocket money to rent a book or a level item for it like a library card. You'd get access to rentable movies it's a new proposal/confession spot.
If I could add something I'd think adding a mini game to the cafe that let's you work there for some pocket money every morning afternoon and dinner. It'd have a limit obviously but it's a little touch since we always see Miis behind the counter when checking in or during a confession.
