2025.01.22 18:15 i_did_a_wrong I'm going to see MIW in Glasgow on Feb 19th by myself, and need advice
This will be my FIRST EVER concert and MIW are my favourite band, so I am beyond excited and I can hardly contain myself. I am also equally anxious because I'm autistic and get overwhelmed easily, so I'm worried about what might happen if I can't cope with the intense crowds, because it's standing only and I know I will be stuck in the midst of everyone with no way of retreating if I start to panic. You might think it's a bad idea for an autistic person with sensory problems to go to a concert, especially going alone, but there is no way I would pass this chance up; I've let my autism and anxiety prevent me from going to concerts my entire life, and the fact that I actually plucked up the courage to buy a ticket is a big deal! I want it to be the BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.
I'm going to take discrete ear plugs to slightly dull down the noise whilst not drawing attention to myself by wearing my noise cancelling headphones, so that will reduce the overstimulation. Mainly it is the crowds and the risk of getting pushed around that I'm worried about. I think it would help to have some advice or anecdotes of what it's like to be at a metal concert at an inside venue, so I can go there feeling prepared and more confident.
In case it's relevant to the advice you give, I'm a 24 y/o male but will have turned 25 by the time the concert happens, and I'm short but stocky (5'4" and chubby).
All advice and anecdotes of your own MIW (or other metal band) concert experiences will be appreciated!

Do you think that the nobles will win and all mages are executed and things go back to how it was. Will sylas win and end the monarchy and nobles. Bringing magic into demacia where all can live with no fear. I feel like if this was to happen then they will still have a problem with all the buildings given that they also absorb magic. Perhaps all the mages will go outside demacian civilization and outside the petricite forest. Do you think that there will be a standstill and there will be an agreement that allows mages to live freely? Maybe there will be segregation where all mages live in a separate community in the demacian plains, away from petricite and with buildings made of normal wood or stone. Maybe they will pull an Arcane and noxus will take advantage of the weakened state of demacia and invade, leading the mages and traditionalists to put their differences aside to combat the bigger threat, where most mages would probably be channelling their power to the sculptures. What do you guys think?

Just beat the game on normal and I felt it was definitely too easy for me so bumping it up a level. It says it will delete all saved game progress and on my first run. Instead of doing that can I just choose "mission select" then just choose what missions I wanna play on a harder setting and still get the trophy when I finally beat them all on a harder setting?

So I’m an Au Pair living in a small town in Bavaria, originally from the UK. I studied German hard before coming here and try to put myself out there, but I’ll admit my social life has definitely taken a hit
I started going to German classes a couple weeks ago, I’m the youngest in the group, 25F, most are in mid 30s or 40s. At the end of class we all spoke together, but one guy didn’t speak to me and instead just lingered close, walked closely behind me as I was going down the stairs, everyone else had gone ahead.
When I was waiting for my ride he approached and asked me if I needed a ride, I thanked him but said they were already on their way, and he could drop me next time, as he seemed friendly.
We exchanged numbers and went out for coffee, and while he seemed nice enough and intelligent, I didn’t appreciate how he was trashing my country, that he would never go back, etc. For context he’s Lithuanian. I tried to point out that every country has its pros and cons, but he only wanted to talk about the negative. He also talked about himself pretty much the whole time.
For added context, I asked him if he knew where to buy the textbooks we needed for class as I couldn’t find them online, and he offered to get them for me, and asked if I wanted to grab and a drink and food together too. We went halves on everything- and after buying the textbooks, he asked me to send him the money for it afterwards.
None of these are bad things, of course I’m happy to pay my own, as I’m an adult. But I’m not attracted to men like this. I like to spoil, and be spoilt, so I felt no romantic attraction.
Anywho from then he started dropping me home after class, brought me a tourist guide book as I said I was struggling to find clubs, and we made plans to go hiking this Sunday. Randomly yesterday, he asked me if I was interested in going to his house one evening to study the textbook together.
For added context, he owns his house and it has a pool and sauna. Also asked if I wanted to go swimming with him afterwards, and ‘wasn’t pushing anything just a friendly idea.’
I said I wasn’t comfortable going to his house yet, and also as I don’t have a car and taxis aren’t really a thing in this area, I’d be relying on him to take me home.
After I said that, he texted me that he would no longer be able to take me home after class, and that he’s made other plans this Sunday. Makes no difference to me, I can easily get home from class
I just thought it was funny and also petty. Since then I’ve made other plans, but I’m wondering if he actually had friendly intentions and was disappointed I said no, or if his intent wasn’t friendly at all and he’s pissed I wasn’t interested.
What do y’all think?

I’ve been in a stall, teetering between 238-243 since 12/17. On 12/17 at my follow up appt, I was 245.
I’ve done everything correctly. How can I break this stall and continue losing? Am I doing something wrong?
Is this normal? It’s driving me crazy considering my surgeon has me a target goal of 165-200.
