At first I thought he was just stupid, but now thinking about it, Klinger was probably referring to Strohl's speech rather than him turning into a big-sworded machine, right? Otherwise, who in their right mind would call it an empty threat? So my question stands: are archetypes real, or are they a metaphor for the character's state of mind?
I guess the only time I saw them "used" is in the final scene...

To claim that after life is death, instead of say for example, more life, is baseless. It's just as baseless as claiming heaven or hell. Nonexistence make zero sense. No, there is no reason to assume evertthing ends and becomes dark and cozy when we die.
In fact, allow me to present the opposite claim, if you would just humor me for a moment. Some conditions brought you into existence, Surely its a reasonable assumptiom to make that those conditions have a chance of reoccuring and giving you existence once more, in the same way they have already.
To this you might protest that time is linear, and perhaps finite. (For recurrence to occur in the way i described, it must be infinite in some sense. Not to mention the famed 'gambler's fallacy' this argument is subjected to).
Regardless, Im here simply to present the idea as a counter to the typical nihilistic stance I see, which takes on faith that nonexistence comes after existence.
But time does not exist outside the universe. Existence itself does not exist outside the universe. Taking nothing on faith, why do we overlook the chance that the universe always existed?
In infinite recurrences of the universe, the chance that the same conditions that created you do not repeat themselves to create you again are slim to none, that they may as well be none.
This is what Nietzche's eternal recurrence was about.
"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: 'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more' ... Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine."
He presented it as a thought experiment, but digging deeper into it, one can determine that he truly believed in it.
Anyways, thats my rant. Stop assuming death makes shit easier. You might just have to relive everything over again.

My finance on my car is due to finish in September with a balloon payment. I can also buy myself out at any point. My cars balloon payment now would be £9000 and the car is worth £12000-13000. Is there a way to sell it privately without first finding the money for the balloon payment.
I know I can do this via we buy any car etc, but I was wondering if it’s possible to do privately. Is there a way I can use the money from a private sale to buy the vehicle. Because I know I wouldn’t be happy giving someone money while there’s still finance on a vehicle. But I’m curious if there’s a way for this to happen where both parties will be happy.

I was a lesbian for 15 years and really found home in that community until coming out, and now I'm a transmasc on T for four years now. I'm still dating queer cis women and recently I had a breakup experience that left me feeling dehumanized and maybe even kind of fetishized. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for avoiding these types of experiences, from their own personal experiences or advice from other people. It seems that the sexuality of cis women is a really confusing topic, because many times they’re either not attracted or even scared of the experiences of cis men/patriarchy but are attracted to masculinity in general, which I can have empathy for but feel uncomfortable being caught in the middle of as some sort of desirable but replaceable outsider.
I found this definition of a chaser from u/LinaKatharina; “Those who are primarily attracted to our transness, and our personality and who we are is secondary at best.” I've found that this quote has helped in seeing what to avoid, but not necessarily how to notice it when it may be happening. I don't want to feel closed off or paranoid when dating new people so any advice or personal anecdotes is super appreciated. Thanks for any insight or stories.
