So we bought a dog from a family member’s friend. They didn’t know his D.O.B and said he was maybe 4-5 years old when we bought up. He isn’t neutered. When we take him out to pee, he will pee very little. So we gotta walk him for 10 minutes and ofc he’ll stop to pee like 20 times! When we take him on a long walk he never seems to be done.. like he doesn’t just pee all at once. He squirts it little by little. It’s so hard to take care of him during the winter since we don’t have a fence and have to walk him everytime JUST TO PEE! 😞I wish he was normal like other dog. When we took him to the vet once and asked them abt it they said he could be nervous blah blah but didn’t really tell us any causes.

We are looking at new ways to try to recruit new members to our troop. We are up to 9 scouts currently but we do not have a pack connected to our troop. We used to but we ended up closing it down before covid due to not enough enrollment or volunteers to run it.
We were looking at hosting an open house Skills/Adventure Day and inviting the AOL and possibly Webelos dens from all the packs within a 15 mile radius of us.
We would teach navigation skills by hosting a short 2-3 miles hike in our towns state forest. Once we returned, we would cook up some lunch (burgers, dogs, chips, smores) and then they could break out into a few stations they would rotate through every 25-30 minutes.
- Knot tying (square knot, two half hitch and taut-line hitch)
- First aide - probably run a scenario for basic first aide like a injured ankle or making a sling or simple cuts.
- Hatchet throwing
- Leave No Trace/Outdoor Code principles
- Possibly firebuilding as long as we do not have a fire ban at that time. The park has firepits to use.
We also toyed with hosting the day event at a camping trip and extending invitation to AOL, only, not webelos, to stay with us overnight one night to help with meeting their rank requirement. Of course ensuring they had the appropriate number of adults of course.
We wanted to include the webelos to get them thinking about who they might want to cross over with since cross over happens in January or February in our area.
We were looking at maybe doing a fall event and another spring event for AOL/Webelos and any other troop age prospects that are interested in joining or transferring.
The big question is if we can include Webelos still with the new rules or if it's strictly AOL only. With the Webelos, it's more to give them something fun to do and get our presence known. We know they wouldn't be potentially joining for another year or so but if they see that we do some fun activities, they might show greater interest in checking us out when it is time to crossover mid year the next year.
Or having a focused recruitment day for AOL in the early fall, and then Webelos in the late Spring since they would be crossing over in about 6 months.
We are just trying to figure out what is possible and not possible.

I want to make the brown part also black here. I don’t think just a simple black marker will keep the tone subtle enough. There is some natural black coloring on the left but I think it has appeared because of age? Any suggestions would help!
I think the sole is made of rubber.

Hey guys, I guess there are some IronNet investors here. If you missed it, IRNT just finished its financial restructuring and re-emerged as a private company after the bankruptcy and the issues they had a few years ago.
For those who may not remember, back in 2021, IronNet presented financial projections for the next year, which included the signing of several new customer contracts. But then, revenues were lower than expected (between $43 and $45M instead of the $54M previously announced).
So, when this came out, investors filed a lawsuit against the company. They suspected that the company had overstated its prospects for the year to get the approval to merge with SPACs.
The good news is that IronNet decided to settle $6.62M with investors over this, and the terms were submitted to the court for final approval.

Nowadays, IronNet has emerged from Chapter 11, got new leadership, and is thriving with its IronDefense. We’ll see if they can keep it together for the next season.

2025.01.22 19:02 DCT715 “The Family Hour” Might Be The Best Episode Of The Entire Franchise or When L&O Became a Dark Comedy
Season 17 of Mothership is definitely a weirder one, it seemed that the writers were getting directionless and just through things together at times. Jesse L. Martin was excellent as detective Green, Milena Govich was handed crap to act around as Nina Cassidy, as always Sam Waterston and S. Epatha Merkerson were great, Fred Thompson was good as Arthur Branch, and Alana De La Garza delivered in her first season.
Season 17 was a weird crossroads for the series, probably intended to be a changing of the guard. All these factors created an absolute gem of police procedurals, the finale of season 17, “The Family Hour” arguably the closest time the Mothership came to being an outright comedy.
The episode starts with the murder victim being a little testy with a party planner. Eventually she gets whacked and the classic law and order “who dunnit” begins.
What unravels is peak television. A smarmy senator is the victim’s ex husband, the detectives think she was banging her psychotic ski instructor son in law, her kid was found chained to a radiator sarcastically claiming “yeah but I’m the problem child”, and the daughter seems to be the killer.
Enter the judge. Judge Dilwynn is pulled from surrogates court to preside over the case. Played by Jefferey Tambor, the honorable Judge Dilwynn makes his first impression by bringing a news reporter into the hospital room of the senator who stabbed himself. From his first meeting it’s clear, Jefferey Tambor is acting like his episode like he’s in a comedy, and NOBODY ELSE IS.
The senator, his defense attorney played by Jeremy Sisto (Det. Lupo), Rubirosa, and Jack are all constantly looking at each other like “who is this guy?”, most notably when he breaks down on his chambers and starts crying for seemingly no reason.
His antics continue into the courtroom and never let up. Det. Cassidy does great on the stand, and Leslie Hendrix as Liz Rogers does excellent on the stand as well. The highlight of the episode for me aside from the insanely hammy acting of the senator, son, and son in law, was one finally Rubirosa who as given her day in court giving an excellent summation and honestly one of my favorite of the franchise.
I HIGHLY recommend you watch this episode even if you’re just an SVU fan or a Criminal Intent fan, this episode is great. I’d argue it’s appointment viewing. 10/10 episode it’s on Peacock and probably on Hulu as well.
TL:DR Jeffery Tambor plays a judge who thinks he’s in a comedy, and Connie Rubirosa murders a book in open court to the hope of a defense attorney played by Cyrus Lupo

Hi, I have been struggling with money, hunger, and a handful of physical and mental health problems. I recently quit one of my jobs due to a situation that led to me having panic attacks where I collapsed to the ground. The leftover job follows a school schedule, so this January I have gone without funds. My fear is food, as I can usually get by on one meal a day, but recently I have been unable to afford any. I can get food from my school, but it’s not a reliable source. I’ve already lost a majority of my body fat, which has made the winter tougher, and I am scared. I have very poor verbal communication skills and have trouble with social anxiety and depression. I cannot afford cell service, which has made getting another job next to impossible. If I can make it to the end of the month I will have some of my grant money for food, so there is a little hope on that front. I’m missing a tooth, and that hurts but it’s manageable if I eat on one side of my mouth, but the hunger is something I can’t ignore.

Is there a solution either ready to buy or DIY that would allow me to retrofit a device into my existing door bell chime box in our hallway, and would allow me to change the tones it makes?
I was thinking of doing something like a PI hooked to a small speaker, and using a relay to close pins on the GPIO to trigger an mp3 file to play. Maybe power everything via POE🤔
That way I can change the tone to suit my mood or change the level depending on what's going on in the house (via a scene in HA) or maybe instead of chiming, flash lights or send an alert to mobile devices
