Hi all,
We have a Lenovo laptop (ThinkPad E15 Gen 4) that has had a lot of challenges. We have two more of these laptops which have some issues, but not as much as one of them.
Ethernet: What we've seen consistently is an ethernet adapter that stops working. Upon review, the adapter is disabled, but the user was using it a few minutes before. This happened at least ten times that we're aware of. She uses a universal Lenovo dock at the office, therefore its ethernet port. Her issues happen when she travels. I have ensured the cable is seated properly in the laptop and the wall port in several of these cases. The fix we've found is to disable and re-enable the adapter from Device Manager. Trying to re-enable it from Control Panel or Settings will not work.
Hard run events: The laptop will audibly be running very hard (excessive fan noise), will stop responding, the screen goes black, the keyboard is unresponsive, and the laptop will only come out of it after holding the power button 40 seconds or more.
Lenovo's answer to the ethernet issue has to replace the system board - twice. After one of these swaps, the hard run issue appeared. After the board was replaced again, this issue went away. The ethernet issue has been persistent. There's no ethernet issues when connected to a universal (USB-C) Lenovo dock.
The Lenovo certified tech who has done the board swaps told me there's internal Lenovo policies that require a part be replaced 5 times before the machine will be replaced. This solution has become very difficult for the end user, who's not a technical user and just needs the laptop to work. IT often has to drop everything when her hardware acts up. Is there a way to "jump the line" and get Lenovo to replace the laptop? The Lenovo tech we've worked recommended pushing Lenovo at the fourth part replacement, but that could be a ways off.

Hey everyone, I am having a hard time with this crane, let me explain. The problem is intermittent to begin with and the PTO works sometimes. So when everything is working, the 2 digits (error codes) for the crane show double zero. The double zeros mean system is good. Something happens and these digits with just start flickering very fast. It's like it's not getting enough voltage. There are 2 voltage boosters and they have been replaced but no change. The dealer thinks it is the circuit board for the crane that is faulty but i cannot bring it in for service because they are to busy atm. Any help would be awesome and appreciated. Thanks!
