So yesterday was my first ever date at 24. In the past either I was too afraid it my potential dates didn't proceed to in person. This year I stumbled upon the YouTube video which essentially says that you can't expect your spouse to greet you out of the blue if you donot put any effort. So being practical and realistic I decided to go on dates to vet people out and test our compatibility.
Surprisingly this effort of going to casual dates, got me a lot more dates as a fairly average looking woman. One of them for even though offered to go out, declined the day before with a shady excuse. I totally understood but given that it came the day after we had pretty fun conversations was pretty bumping to say the least. I wasn't too worried because I'd a date already lined up. This man made plans, kept texting to a minimum, seemed to match up my scarcasm,plus his pictures were quite stunning.
On the day I arrived pretty late and I was glad he still waiting. Any way the moment I saw him my heart sank. He was short and lanky and clearly dint match his pictures. I won't call it a catfish though but the pictures were from a time he looked better.
Now I'm average looking but no one can tell me I don't put any effort. I dressed up like I was on a date. He on the other hand showed up in home clothes ( T-shirt and jeans) no effort what so even, no cologne, dirty shoes. Even the pub he choose was walking distance from his house. And I came after a 45 mins ride. I was really mad when I found out that. But it was my fault because I didn't question much. I was happy to be asked out.
We both tried to engage but clearly non of us were feeling it. In the end I dreaded the thought of even a hug.
Never imagined my first date would go like this. I gave a few lined up and I don't even want to go out for fun anymore. Pretty disappointing if you ask me .

2025.01.22 19:16 Kashihara_Philemon What if Wendy was the same age as Dipper?
I've seen a lot of fanworks that make Dipper as old as Wendy (sometimes Mabel and Pacifica too, sometimes not), but it's much rarer to see Wendy (and possible other teen characters) moved to Dipper's age.
In terms of how the twins meet her probably doesn't need to be changed since I still see her looking older then her actual age and being able to pass for a teen that Stan can pay under the table. How she would relate to Dipper and the other characters is a much more open question since we can't say if she's already entertained boyfriends at that point, or if she's even developed her nonchalant attitude by that point. She should still be recognizably Wendy but probably more awkward, and less outwardly mature for lack of a better word. Could be an interesting AU to explore, with or without the other teens aged down as well.
But, what do you all think? What would a hypothetical 12 year old Wendy in Gravity Falls be like? How would her relationships with Dipper, Mabel, and other characters change? Would lowering the ages of other older characters (even Soos?) make things more or less interesting? And of course, would it make Wendip more likely, less likely, or just something else entirely?

2025.01.22 19:16 Oknamehere_4980 [Bug] First week was bad, fixed it and was running fine on even streets and now the past 3 days I can't load into maps again
I know this has been asked to death but what is going on, I was running it fine for weeks then out of the blue my PC is just using all of its memory and my hard drive (even though Tarkov is downloaded on a SSD) is maxed out as well. im trying everything I can but it makes no sense why its just shitting the bed again when it was working fine days ago
yes I know I should have more ram but like I said I was even able to boot streets which I have not been able to do for months and now even factory is stuttering and I am getting packet loss up the ass
