Hi there! So, I recently was in a group and met someone on here. I did not flirt with them at all (they were taken and I respect that.) I tried to talk to them daily and tried to get them to play dbd with me and they blatantly ignored me but would respond to other people. I told people in the chat that I would probably just leave the groups and stuff because obviously me and him were not vibing together. Well, he messages me a long note about how I don’t respect his relationship and to stop sending him weird messages (first time I heard this from him by the way) and then he blocked me. The only thing that I would send to him that was weird was “beef lips” and other things, which is what HE started to begin with. It was a just gay banter between us and we were joking. Now I feel like I’m a creep and made him uncomfortable and I’m not even sure why I did. I don’t know, just wanted to hear what others think.

What do you (as SO dom) believe in that drives your engagement with your social circle?
I can say as SO-blind I don’t believe in putting too much effort into someone I’m not close with. I am generally a generous person and I will give to others as much as I have to spare but never out of my way. Because I feel like when you sacrifice something you are hoping to get something back — otherwise why’d you deplete yourself? And I don’t believe in sacrifice, or that the community will get me when I’m in need. So I don’t rely on society. I am worried that when I’ll need something people will just mind their own business. And I think this is the main view I have on society. That people are herd-y and will do what the authority says. Essentially I think that people are helpless. And if anything, exhausting to deal with their differences.
These are just the beliefs I discovered digging into my views on why I feel so apathetic about social engagements. And I want to see what SO doms believe in?

I'm gonna need LOTS and LOTS of help now.
You see, since I posted about angpau, many of y'all commented. It is exactly the same as what my friends IRL do during angpau giving, aka only older people give single younger people angpau. For that I'm really thankful.
I feel like I'm robbed of so many things 😭 1. Since I'm ugly, I grow up studying for first place in class just to prove my worth. 2. I miss out on having lifelong friends, sleepovers, dating... 3. I thought these monetary expectations are normal 4. My parents scold me with swear words then denied it saying I'm imagining . If only there's a way to bioengineer a recorder into every single person so that they can collect proof discreetly. 5. My mom said that I'm for the streets because I crave romance and intimacy 6. Everyone called me ugly. I dare not even look at men anymore. 7. I turned to games and I spent a lot on it just to ease my sorrows. I'm now at quite a high level. If I don't spend, people will rob my things off. They're Europeans and Americans! At the same time it cost me so much. 8. People only gimme a thank you if I perform well at work. Nothing else.
Imagine the realisation that I've been lied throughout my LIFE about customs, and that the extended family supported whatever my AP says, and told me to get off social media and "follow customs".
I sometimes don't even feel like living anymore.
TLDR: I realised that I've been lied and betrayed by my own family after 30 years of living. Idk if I could even live anymore.

I'm a new player and I realized I've been accidentally ignoring people trying to talk to me via chat. I usually just play solo on the official servers. If I want to hang out with other players I tend to play it risky and chill at the Impact Crater, but I just sit/walk around, I don't chat. There's been times players will chase me while I'm a juvenile, bearing gifts, but I don't realize it and run away from them. Then I glance at chat and realize I look like a jerk.
