This is anecdotal, but I know economics is one of the main reasons you see people say they don't want children. While I recognize we are in tough times economically and that is a factor. I know many couples who do well financially and decided to not have children. And I met another person today. 37 years old, makes a good living in a mid cost of living area. Dual income, between him and his wire. Not planning on having kids. If the decision was just economics, then why would you see this so commonly. People that can afford it and not choose to do so. Like I mentioned, I am 49 and have a group of friends around 40 that have money and are childless. Something changed culturally (and it's not because of the problems in the world like Reddit would make you feel) where people just don't want it. It is not something they desire. And this is the primary reason you see the falling birth rate. Where there is a will there is a way, where there is no will there is no way.

Title has my question. I was wondering if anybody in the area had the skills to repair one of these bad boys. I got one second hand and it appears to be in immaculate condition (very clean, no obvious damage on any boards or cables), but it won't get to printing. I was wondering if somebody on here knew of anybody to have a look and help me figure out what was wrong. I suspect it's as simple as swapping out a cable somewhere, but I'd rather someone with more skills do that as I am not the best with being gentle with things when disassembling and don't have replacement parts on hand.

Hello! I signed up for a Entrepreneurs of Impact contest to win a prize to help start creating what I call a Safe-place community garden. It would mean so much to me. I had a rough time with my childhood , when I was in high-school I moved out and couch surfed to graduate. If the people in my community had not helped and guide me with the right tools I would not be where I am today. I imagine I'd be long gone by now or struggling in more ways than I do now. I want to repay those who've helped me by creating a space for children, young adults or anyone who needs support. Additionally I want to help combat loneliness within assisted living facilities and retirement homes by providing a community environment that leans on one another and utilizes the wisdom that others have to help longevity and positive outlooks moving forward as much as possible. Gardening has saved me in more ways than one and helped me navigate this world. I started 3 years ago w current therapist. Since then I’ve combatted my deep depression with Buddhism, meditation, ketamine therapy, daily exercise, cold showers, sleep hygiene. I still have bad days. But I also feel like my therapist doesn’t do much except say “hmmm, yes, you’re amazing” or “what do you think about that”? I don’t get challenging questions etc. And I don’t feel like spending 6 months telling a new therapist my story. Thoughts?

 | Hi, I'm a beginner in the field of reinforcement learning, currently interested in physics-based motion control. As I was looking at various well-known environments such as the Robot Arm, a question occurred to me about how one would attempt to perform well in a physics based environment involving controlling such models to achieve complex tasks that are more abstract than simply reaching a certain destination. Particularly, the question occured from this paper, with the image of the problem scenario shown below. https://preview.redd.it/wrvz16y7flee1.png?width=612&format=png&auto=webp&s=5c24cb87a696247929aff41e8775833c617b9218 For example, say I were to create a physically simulated environment where the Robot Arm aims to perform well in an online 3D bin packing problem scenario, where the robot arm grabs boxes of various sizes from a conveyor belt and places them onto a designated spot, trying to fit as much of them as possible in a constrained space.(I guess I could model the reward to be related to the volume of the placed boxes' convex hull?) I would imagine that having a multi layered approach of different agents may work adequately, one for solving the 3D-BPP problem, and one for controlling the robot arm to move a box to a certain spot, so that the 3D-BPP solver's outputs may serve as an input for the robot arm controller agent. However, I can't imagine that these two agents would be completely decoupled, since certain commands of the 3D-BPP solver may be physically unviable for the robot arm's movement without disrupting the previously-placed boxes. In scenarios like this, I'm wondering what is the usual approach: 1. Use a single agent to be able to control these seemingly distinct tasks(solving 3d-bpp, and controlling the robot arm) all by itself? 2. Actually use two agents and introduce some complexity into the training sequence so that the solver can take the robot arm controller's movement into account? Well, I learned the hard way not to start expeditions you don't intend to finish. I started Aquarius, looked at the rewards, and decided it wasn't worth it for me since im not that big into the fishing aspect of the game (not a huge fan of expeditions in general, but i love the goodies) and bailed before I even started. Now it ended and I went to start the new Redux on my main save, but it still shows the Aquarius expedition as unfinished. However, in my expedition save I can't figure out how to get to the anomaly to go to a terminal and select "end expedition". All the expedition quests are closed, and I don't see anyway to get the hyperdrive to warp once and unlock the anomaly. What am I missing here?

Corniness aside, perhaps I need to approach this from a different angle, so I'm finally rewriting this, for the most part.
I do often get replies when I post, but I always end up checking out and blocking them. I'll be waiting for a day for a response, often times, and that's an "I'm not emotionally available or particularly looking for anything" vibe that I'm just not there for, these days.
Once upon a time, I did chase. Somewhere along the line, though, I realized that if I have to force it (i.e. ask someone to communicate), it's probably 💩. I've largely stopped putting much effort into it if I see zero reciprocation, as there are so precious few out there who actually seek affection, companionship, communication and romance, as I do. It's as if those things really are the realm of high fantasy and fiction now.
It's 2025, and this whole "disposables" everything spreads like a summer wildfire out West. Disposable products, appliances, vehicles, houses...even people. Effort is seldom reciprocated, and lame reasons are given, in order to turn small inconveniences into excuses to just toss people aside.
I'm looking for something different than this. I'm looking for someone who is also different, and looking for something different. I'm looking for affection, companionship, communication, and romance. I want someone whose phone I can blow up sometimes. Someone to eventually go do things with, cuddle and snuggle with, kiss, gaze into their eyes.
I do have two children, 9 1/2. One boy, one girl. I do live with my mom, stepdad, half sister, her fiancee, and my little nephew (one big grumpy family, basically) ❤️

Inspite of the fact I think Asura is way cooler I think Kratos winning is a foregone conclusion, not because of lore scaling or whatever but because of how he was depicted in the preview. Death Battle tends to subtly pick protagonists and antagonists for their fights, even between fights between two heroes or two villains. For example in *Bowser vs Eggman Bowser is seen as more virtuous due to his love for his subordinates and genuine desire for marriage. Bowser wins. *Giorno vs Joker, Giorno is villainised by the framing device of Joker stealing his heart. Joker wins And while yes there are instances of the more obviously heroic character losing (Bill vs Discord being the biggest and most obvious one) BUT Consider the Kratos vs Asura preview. Kratos a character whose arc centres around a quest for internal peace is seen meditating and is interrupted by Asura, a manifestation of the wrathful ways Kratos is trying to outgrow.
