PD didn’t seem interested

People who write didn't used to are not misspelling didn't use to. If we are talking about the auxiliary pronounced yusta , then both ways of writing it look strange. If you read @Lawler's web page , you'll see that he concludes by saying "Basically, this is a bug in English writing. I'd personally write 'didn't used to' because it's pronounced the same way as the positive. In the US you might not always find consistency in this. There is this bit of dialogue from a TV cop show: I don't think "didn't start yet" is really valid English in most contexts. I can't exactly say what it is about the construction that I don't like, but I decided to check written usage by others. In Google Books I find just 14 hits for "doesn't start yet" and 91 for "didn't start yet" , compared to tens of thousands for "haven't started yet" , and for "hadn't started yet" .

We are a consulting firm that provides services to clients located throughout BC and AB. Most of this is desktop engineering and project management but we also have inspectors who travel out to various sites to observe/inspect the construction or pipeline activities for quality assurance purposes. Do we need to procure a business license for every municipality we spend time in? Or are we considered to be operating on behalf of the client? Some inter-municipal business licenses require us to first have a primary business license in one of the participating communities which is not possible given that we have HQ in Burnaby but send people all over the province depending on the client requirements.

2025.01.22 20:08 tchotchkesidekick how long between abnormal pap and colposcopy?

hi all--experiencing some problems getting my colposcopy and wondering how worried i should be. i had a pap smear in nov 2024 which came back LSIL, though I didn't get my results for almost a month after the initial pap smear. they didn't do HPV testing, my doctor said i likely would be positive for HPV considering the result. anyways, i was told to get a colposcopy which was originally scheduled for this february (i was already terrified to wait until then), and now it's been rescheduled to mid march by the OBGYN's office. i'm frustrated as well because i'm trying to find care elsewhere and can't be seen anytime soon. i'm curious about others' experiences with timelines between abnormal pap/colposcopy and whether or not i should be worried about the fact that it will have been four months since my initial pap when i get my colposcopy. definitely a bit of a hypochondriac, so i am worrying about this a lot--would be curious to hear from others about their experiences with this. thanks for your help!

I’ve noticed a peculiar habit over the past several years: I always sleep on the left side of my bed, no matter what. Even when I travel and stay in hotels, my body instinctively gravitates to that side.
The problem is, I think this dependency on one side of the bed might be limiting my overall flexibility in how I act outside of bed. What if I’m unconsciously reinforcing other rigid habits or even causing muscle imbalances by favoring one side? I’ve tried switching to the right side, but it feels deeply unnatural, almost like I’m betraying some unwritten rule.
Has anyone successfully retrained themselves to sleep on a different side of the bed? I’m looking for strategies to break out of this self-imposed pattern without disrupting my sleep too much. This might sound trivial, but I believe small habits can reflect bigger challenges, and I want to address this proactively.

I’m was super excited to start a Rolife kit (technically they call it a miniature house, the one I’m doing is Sam’s study) but idk if I’ll be able to finish it… There are probably 100 books to make and none of them are stickers. I have to cut out the paper and glue the covers on individually. Is that normal? My brother is doing a different kit from Rolife and they’re all stickers for him. Also no pieces hold together by themselves (unlike the Rolife flowers I’ve made, they needed no glue) so I have to glue absolutely everything and the glue is horrible and stringy :( I’m happy to dedicate a lot of time to this but it’s far from what I was expecting and I feel like there are easy fixes to a lot of my problems that just aren’t implemented. I bought the kit at Barnes and noble so I highly doubt I got scammed…is this even worth finishing, and does anyone have tips?

Hi, I am a returning trans person from detransitioning. I used to be on testosterone when I turned 14 for 9 months but a lot was happening and I decided to try my luck at being girl (failure). Resuming is more challenging now because a lot has changed politically/legally. My last provider got fired shortly after I was prescribed and since its been approx 8 months since I've used test the pharmacy that handed it out cant really help me get my prescription back SINCE it all expired and they threw it (what my dad told me..) I also dont have the packaging of my testosterone with the prescription info anymore.
Id really appreciate any resources that might help. Im overwhelmingly stressed and anxious about my growth without test, you could probably imagine immeasurable regret and urgency to resume the transition and pick up progress lost. Any info is very appreciated

So I have my bachelor’s in History and my master’s in general Psychology. I used to be a behavior tech for about a year and a half and I have been working as a case manager since July, but I don’t really like it. Having to go to people’s homes makes me nervous and it’s a lot of work for little pay. I don’t think I would do good with jobs that require lots of counseling or talking to clients. Any ideas?

Vegan keto OMAD I’m currently eating this as one meal a day on my work days. It’s easy to meal prep the cauliflower, spinach, broccoli and mushrooms. I do batches of five serves and fridge them. Then just before eating I add the tahini, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds and avocado. I make the chia pudding after I’ve just finished eating it, so it’s always ready for the next day. It seems to be getting me into ketosis, especially when it’s combined with fasting. Takes all my meal times for the day down to half and hour, gives me all the veges I need, and keeps me ketotic. (Ketones were 1.7 this morning). Also has all the fiber I need. About 1900 calories. And 100gms protein.
Main meal: Riced Cauliflower Broccoli Spinach Mushrooms Avocado Tahini Lemon juice Hemp seeds Pumpkin seeds Olive oil
Chia pudding: Almond milk Almond protein powder Chia Macadamias Walnuts Almonds Brazil nuts Blueberries

I’ve been applying for jobs and it’s been giving me such a hard time when they’re running my background checks etc. Husband agreed that i should just change my name back to what it was before i got married just so it doesn’t complicate things in the future. So here’s an example (not using real names) and few explanations.
Name: Anna Marie Sprinkle Pink was my name prior marriage.
Anna Marie - first name as it states in birth certificate Sprinkle- maiden name Pink- Last name
WHEN I GOT Married my husband has a hyphen last name… idk why but he said that’s just how it is in his culture.
Example:
Name: John Doe Mike-Tyson
so when i got married, we went and did the whole name change etc etc…
My name is now
Anne Marie Pink Mike-Tyson
Every agency is calling me back asking which is your middle name maiden name first name etc etc…
i just wanna change my old name back to Anne Marie Sprinkle Pink
will this be a hard thing to do? do i just walk into a court house and tell the clerk i want to undo my name ? how does it go?
