I just glanced at this sub as a non Christian and was surprised by the amount of posts chastising the anti-Jesus nature of Trumps (and his followers) attacks on people from south of the US. They are objectively Christian because Europe brought Christianity to them!now we won’t accept them in our home? My grandparents were devout Baptists who went out into their community and offered charity without judgment and without expecting anything in return. They took in troubled teens, gave food and money to the homeless, formed community clubs and more. They were lifelong democrats who would open their doors to anyone. Their parents came here on a boat from Europe and got their documents on the spot. Wouldn’t this be what Jesus was about?
trump couldn’t even answer a basic question about the Bible or his faith on TV. when I saw that I really felt bad for you. Reading some of the posts here makes me think I’ve been a bit hard on you but my fear is that the things that Jesus apparently stood don’t apply to a certain section of Christianity. Help me understand a bit more

Hej! Som rubriken lyder är jag deprimerad (och utmattad) vilket jag har varit i snart 9 år. Mitt liv är bara en börda och jag vill bara få slut på lidandet. Har sökt hjälpt säkert över hundra gånger, har fått ”hjälp” inom psykiatrin, ja ni vet, allt. Hade egentligen kunnat skriva en bok om hur dåligt behandlad jag har blivit. Jag har precis börjat studera då det i princip varit helt omöjligt för mig att fortsätta jobba. Jag jobbade som regionalchef på ett företag och blev pressad till det extrema dagligen. Nu ett par dagar in i plugget så inser jag att det såklart är i princip omöjligt för mig att läsa ens en text. Min hjärna känns friterad. I vilket fall som helst så känner jag bara att jag behöver lugn och ro. Jag har lite sparpengar, men inte mycket, och vill nu använda dessa till att göra något som kan vara bra för mig. Jag funderar därför på att åka iväg några månader och bara vara. Frågan är då; vart? Inte intresserad av charterorter eller liknande. Det ska vara varmt och det ska vara fridfullt. Kanske dit många ensamma åker? Och framförallt, det ska gå att leva ett par månader på destinationen utan att fullständigt ruinera sparkontot. Någon som har något bra tips?

(Note that I shall be referring to the company and social media platform calling itself "X" as twitter, as I simply refuse to call it that)
So in case you don't know, Elon Musk did a hitlergruß (nazi salute) on live television. If you do not believe me or think it was a cherrypicked angle/frame, here's a video recording of it. He did it two times, and it is very clearly a nazi salute. Utterly disgusting piece of shite human being he is.
There's been a little bit of a movement on some (a lot, actually) of reddit's subreddits to just outright ban twitter links. While twitter posts aren't often linked here, I believe it is not unreasonable to say that we, as decent human beings, should be doing everything we can to diminish traffic to twitter. This isn't censorship, this is not tolerating nazis and fascists.
Plus, it's not hard to do. Make the automoderator automatically remove any submissions that include links whose second level domain is "twitter" or "x". If necessary, nitter.poast.org works perfectly as a gateway to see twitter posts without giving it traffic, and archive.is links can be used too.
