I’m a travel, healthcare worker and recently signed a contract with this company. I thought it was weird that they were paying out the per diem based on the hours that you worked and if the facility cancels, you get no stipend that’s new for me. I asked on the travel nurse page and got mixed reviews. Some say it’s illegal. I had a hard time finding online whether or not this is legal or if there’s anything I could do about it I figured I would put it up on here and see if you guys had any opinions. Typically the past companies I’ve worked for still pay you if you are in the area for the stipends because you have to pay to live where your contract is and pay rent at home which is what I’m doing. Kind of frustrating with the weather. We keep getting snow days, but I haven’t caught up on rent and living expenses. Kind of feel scammed.

I know us year 11s have been spamming this subreddit with these questions.
Right. Need to pick a third. Currently chosen maths and physics. Predicted 7s in math and science. Predicted 6 in English (language + lit). Im not planning on going to uni. Think picking an easy third subject would be best. For the career ive chosen (pilot), no specific alevels are actually required, so im stuck in what to do. Advice is heavily needed as I need to apply to 2 or more colleges by the end of the month. Ive been dragging this on for too long and I need some proper advice.
For some silly reason I cant take geography and maths together because it falls under the same block. Im thinking about sociology or travel and tourism? Basically I think an easy alevel would be something I would like so I can prioritize maths + physics.
If this isnt the correct subreddit to post in any1 can tell me where it would be better to post in?

2025.01.22 23:04 Blueberry_furry_69 I’m having issues with my 2012 F150
I’m having issues with the battery dying and I put the battery on a cheap Walmart trickle charger to charge it up have to do this like every week. I did put a battery tester on the battery and it’s testing back good I’ve only had this battery for three months and I’m having issues with the key fob unlocking the truck and the keyhole on the driver‘s door will not unlock the vehicle. I have no money to buy parts or anything. Is there anything I can do to fix this because I need this truck to work so I can go to work and do what I need to do.

I got a job that was listed as a babysitter and then when I started I was told I would be going between babysitting and working in the bodyshop they own, up front answering phones and talking to customers, but now I'm not even babysitting at all. I was told I would only be doing this for a month and then I would start babysitting more. I have really bad social anxiety and I don't know anything about cars, so I just feel like I'd stress out the whole time. Should I just push through and wait, because I honestly don't think I mentally could.

After smoking every day for 3 years, I think I’ve obliterated my memory and cognitive ability. I’m trying to do Algebra 1 of all things and I genuinely can’t understand or do it. Trying to simplify “radical expressions” is genuinely kicking my ass and taking my name. Like, I’ll stare at the screen, at the problems, I’ll go over practice problems, but it all turns into a meaningless word salad. I don’t think I’ll ever get my education because of this, at least not any time soon. Anyone else’s cognitive ability/iq/intelligence/ability to understand math wrecked?
