2025.01.22 23:07 MW31024 Need help making rules for a homebrew campaign
So I'm making a campaign where there are 4 armies fighting each other and each army allows for players to unlock an extra set of classes depending on their armies. My first question is can players change classes mid campaign and how do I handle them switching classes? For example, one army unlocks a sub class for rogue that basically makes them a ninja. My plan is to make it so that players can unlock more and more aspects of the sub classes as they gain a reputation in the army. My second question is how do I make the armies actively contest each other without spreading the players thin and/or resolving combat for them? My third question, what if players die? The campaign is supposed to be long and I want them to have the possibility of dying, but I don't want them to switch characters mid campaign since it's supposed to take a heavy amount of grinding to flesh out one of the extra classes. I also don't want players to have to track multiple characters. My fourth and last question, since I'm only going to have three players, how do I work NPC allies that fill in as played characters without playing the game for them? All answers are appreciated

I saw a Reddit comment recently that said that a tactic used by some car salespeople is to leave their phone on the table where you are, while they go âtalk to the manager.â But theyâre actually listening to any discussion you might be having through their phone without you knowing, in an attempt to collect more information to leverage in negotiations. To set the stage letâs say youâre sitting at a table with your spouse in the middle of an open floor, and the employees have all left the area and are behind a closed door or are at a significant distance from you. Would this be a potential violation of California Penal Code 632?
I understand that when you are in a public place, there is usually an implication that your discussions arenât considered confidential. But there isnât an implication or a reasonable expectation that someone negotiating with you would secretly leave an audio transmitting/recording device directly in front of you while theyâre gone, in a situation where youâre highly likely to be discussing the negotiation with another person.
IANAL but I find this to be an interesting hypothetical, also I despise car salespeople.

My family was laughing and joking around just now and my brother responded "I'm smart" to something my dad said and my mom told him "you're more like street smart" then my dad said "well both these kids (my brother and I) are actually homeschool smart which is... Well" and he and my mom just laughed
There was also one day a few months ago where my mom was trying to explain something to my brother and she said "well... I guess no one ever said these kids were smart"
Ever since I started cyber school back in 2020 (before lockdown) my mom has said that my grades were 100x better than they were in regular school, but now she's just calling my brother and I dumb.

First off i just want to say? I am completely new to serato and djing, but having a blast.
I do this at home with my wife for fun and thats it.
Ive got a huge 85 inch tv and surround sound that I hook my little controller up to. But, when I have the laptop set up, the TV just sits there doing nothing lol.
Id love to project something visual on the TV that reacts to the music, similar to the way windows media player used to do. Something simple that pulses with the bass, just so the TV isn't a big black box while we dance.
Is there a program/addon to do this with while using serato? I have serato lite but would be willing to upgrade if needed. There may also be programs that do this outside of serato and I'd be willing to give those a try, too.

Minah had a great social game, especially early on. But she made several key mistakes with her murder and recruitment choices.
Recruiting Anna was a mistake. Murdering Livi to frame Freddie just ended up keeping Freddie in and he ended up being the person who pushed her name most. Recruiting Charlotte was a massive mistake. And finally pushing so hard for Frankie as the answer to that question was a mistake, literally being the reason Frankie gave for voting her. Not as sure on this one but I feel like Joe also couldâve been a mistake as well; he was a strong voice that didnât really seem to suspect her and probs wouldâve voted Freddie with Jake and Leanne!
Yes Charlotte backstabbed her but her name was coming up before Charlotte was even a traitor! I love Minah and I think she went out like a boss, and she has two of the most iconic reactions to her name being spelt wrong ever. But at the end of the day she wasnât quite as good as a lot of people rate her. Even her social game ended up backfiring when being so quiet and going under the radar put her under suspicion; she probably shouldâve taken a slightly more vocal role as the amount of players declined by so much!
This definitely isnât meant to be hate on Minah, sheâs one of my fave players in the show, but I think sheâs unfortunately been slightly overrated based on her very strong early game. Sheâs ended up going out the first time sheâs been put under serious pressure and has had to deal with another good traitor! Wondering if anybody agrees with my analysis of her game?
