My hotel, along with many others in the area, have been notified that ICE will start rounding up employees without papers. We are working together to find ways to protect our employees/coworkers in the event a raid occurs on the property. The only thing no one knows of, is how these raids are carried. Would they go to HR department and demand a list of employees without papers? Do they just halt operations demand to see everyone’s ID?
FL has already been cracking on this by outlawing illegal immigrants from working for an employer, this has already negatively affected our farming industry as 44% undocumented immigrants work on our farms. Hotels probably employ just about the same, if not more, but they are still employing despite it being illegal in the state, which means big fines for hotels coming soon.
This will take a huge hit considering FL wages are awful as it is in the hospitality/tourism industry. It already affecting farming industry.

2025.01.23 00:12 Subject_Cry_8199 AITA for confronting my gf about someone she slept with in the past?
My 2.5 month long girlfriend has invited me to an house party with her friends/acquaintances and I felt like asking about her and a guy that was there who I heard her mentioning several times in the past in random stories. She told me they slept together once. I told her that I felt upset that she did not let me know in advance about this. It's not like she was required to tell me but I feel that if it was the other way around I would've given her an heads up. I asked myself why is this an important thing for me and I don't have a great answer other than it feels like it's a social norm to disclose such a thing. Maybe the rationale is to protect your partner from learning about it from someone else...? But it's not like there's a fundamental principle being broken or anything. It would've just felt nice, I guess. My therapist said I made a big deal out of it and made me feel a bit of an asshole. My girlfriend actually apologized and said she didn't remember bringing it up but she can understand how that made me feel.
Am I the asshole like my therapist seems to suggest?

2025.01.23 00:12 Sensitive_Wash_3770 I need help. What style of singing is best for me?
I am a fourteen-year-old who is trying to take my hobby to the next level and find a style that fits my voice so I can expand in that style and make beautiful music. I searched Google to try to find out what style would be best for me and still don't know so I'll just put my information here and hope someone is kind enough to offer me their insight.
In terms of range, I am either a mezzo-soprano or a soprano. Depends on if it's allergy season or not lol.
Tone wise, I have a childish voice that has minimal weight and is pretty light. Intense vibrato comes very naturally, and I have to make a conscious effort to tone it down to blend in with other singers.
My strengths are legato, high notes, slow pieces, long notes, and the aforementioned vibrato. I project my voice well and can inject emotion into it easily (with the exception of aggression, where even when I am screaming in rage, I sound like a mildly irritated whiney toddler). I belt basically religiously at this point.
My weaknesses are short notes, low pitches, sound effects, and rap.
Music is a hobby for me, and I don't want to make money or gain popularity off of it. I just want an outlet to express myself and something worthwhile to pass the time.
I don't like to be close-minded, but I do have some requirements that this style must meet to ensure that I still enjoy what I'm doing. They are as follows: 1) No Tone-less, un-original, or highly commercialized styles like pop. I need variability.
2) This style has to allow me to express myself using my vocal tone, not just via lyrical expression. I'm looking for a dramatic style. I want one where I can belt my heart out and give it all the emotion and vibrato I want.
3) No overly simplistic styles. If a song doesn't make me want to learn music theory, it's not good enough.
