(I've seen the Sceptres one a gazillion times but occasionally on TV there seem to be others, e.g. I just saw what looked like a Boston Fleet one) Is the language more or less the same in each of the six? And... is there also a multi-team one?

This has been bugging me for a while.
Years ago I met this guy and we hit it off. Invited him to my server to play DND with the rest of my friends. We were discussing schedules and he was like "how long do your games go?" Me: "Oh, like 4-5 hours usually." Him: "WHAT?! That's a huge chunk of time!" Me: "wut."
I was very confused, and this guy couldn't believe we spent that much time playing the game, and after ranting and being rude to everyone, he rage-quit our server and blocked me. It was so out of the blue, because otherwise he seemed like a chill dude eager to play.
Thing is, I thought 4-5 hours was pretty much the norm? Is it not? Or did I just run into a weirdo?

Hi everyone! I’m just a girl trying to get my leg up in the professional world.
There’s this guy that asked for my Instagram a few weeks ago. Stupidly, I gave it to him because he was very nice to me and he was attractive. Red flag because I’ve literally seen him with his girlfriend before 😭… like sir why are you asking me for my ig? Im not sure of their status anymore since I don’t see any posts of her or sign of her anywhere!
Anyways, besides that, the content he likes is also very questionable. Just a bunch of OF girls and half naked women.
NOT ONLY THAT, but stupidly his friend was there who is also very questionable followed me too! I have to see them at work for the next few months before I quit.
What do I do? I want to block them both but it’ll be so awkward since I work with them and see them every week. :( I’m dumb I know. But also, I thought adding them would be good professionally because I plan to one day leave and maybe come back and apply to their specific position so I thought I’d ask them for any open spots blah blah. Help!!! Should I just block them? I muted there pages because I can’t even stand to see their profile pictures and the weird stuff they comment about women anymore.
I’m not interested in any of them. But I’ve always been told not to burn bridges. I can’t stand the thought of them going through my page and looking at my pictures and my likes. Ew ew ew!

My mom has always been mentally ill and was abusive to my siblings and I while growing up. Despite all of that, she’s still apart of my life. I’ve lived out of state for the last 11 years, so we primarily communicate over the phone and I visit around 2-3 times a year. My mom has been on pain pills for back pain for quite some time and I knew she had become somewhat dependent on them. My brother who sees my mom daily told me last night that she’s abusing her pain meds and her Ritalin. She’s been popping them like candy and only sleeping around 4 hours a day. I hadn’t realized how severe things were, although I did notice a change in her mental health lately. She’s been picking a lot of arguments with my siblings and attempted to pick one with me, but I simply ignored her texts and calls. Anyway, prior to knowing this, my mom had asked me if she could fly in to visit me and meet my boyfriend and I had agreed to this. But now knowing what’s going on, I’m wondering if I should let her meet my boyfriend? I was hesitant to let her meet him to begin with because of how she is, but now knowing that she’s abusing medications, I’m even more hesitant. Should I just tell her he’s working and can’t meet her? Or should I tell him about this stuff and let him decide? Any advice on what I should do with this situation? As far as her situation goes, my siblings and I have all tried to get her to stop what she’s doing and that’s outside of our control. Unfortunately, it’s up to the person to decide to overcome addiction. She won’t even admit that she’s addicted to her medications and abusing them.

I work as a young lawyer and was living at home rent-free, so I had nowhere to park my income after FTHB and TFSA. In 2021 I bought a presale luxury condo in Vancouver for 860k (includes 5% tax) solely as an investment. I believe it is now worth about 760k-800k given that the market has contracted a bit.
Although it is down in value, the timing worked out great. I got married and we decided to move in ourselves to the condo, and we even have space for one child should we wish to have children. We love the view from the 46th floor as well, as well as the area we live in.
We really like the place and the mortgage/strata only comes out to about 25% of our income to it's great to have financial freedom and not be mortgage poor. We are able to aggresively save and pay down the mortgage.
The issue is that we may want to have multiple children. If we did, the second child is likely to be born in around 2030.
I know that no one can know the future, but how likely do you think it is that we break even or suffer only a small loss on the condo should we want to upgrade? Is it fair to think that if the condo market is down when sold, it will correlate with a cheaper purchase of a townhouse? Should we simply upgrade in the same building to a bigger place when the time comes?

Se que este es un Subreddit (o como se diga xd) para expresar lo que sentimos. Y sinceramente quería expresar algo.
Y es que últimamente me di cuenta que las generaciones anteriores suelen ser menos empáticas que las últimas. Es más, pueden decirme que exageras o que te victimizas por algo tan estúpido. Y digo: —WOW, ¿ES ENSERIO ESTO?, ¿Cómo es posible que una persona sea tan mala?
Si, hay personas menos o más empáticas que otras, pero si puedo llegar a decir que lo que más odio es la empatía falsa. Esa sensación de que alguien te entiende, pero a la ves no, ¿Sabes?, difícil de explicarlo.
Claramente no soy la única persona en pensar asi, pero es como wtf jaja. No diré más, es mí primer post es esta comunidad.
