2025.01.23 03:25 Effective-Election-1 Is it just me or was the story in this patch somewhat underwhelming
In my opinion this story felt like a downgrade in quality from earlier chapters and special episodes.
Regarding Character Development:
We are just randomly introduced as Astras good friends, which while it would somewhat make sense considering the end of chapter 5, it still felt very forced, especially when you consider that the specific section in chapter 5 where you first meet Astra is in connection to a non-permanent limited event in 1.3 which in turn makes it even more jarring to the fact that we are very chummy with her.
While I personally like Astra’s and Evelyn’s design, I felt they were poorly developed and executed in the story. In chapter 5 we are teased about how Astra acts like a “cold queen” publicly but we never get to see that side of her, we only get to see her naive happy go lucky side, which would have been fine if we actually got see a bit more depth put of her character and even when Astra is fighting her “haters” it didn’t have any impact and fell flat as there was no development from there, it was simply discarded the moment the fight ended.
In regards to Evelyn, she was also kind of a let down, I feel like the whole plot of being a spy and the betrayal was also poorly executed, her whole part of the story felt very tacked in even though it was an integral part of the plot.
I actually enjoyed Belle and Wise’s interactions this chapter, while some of their interactions are corny, I felt it fit their personality well enough, although I do feel Wise was a bit more “excited” than I would expect from him(I play as Belle dont know if its different the other way).
Regarding Storytelling and Presentation:
I felt that storytelling and presentation in this chapter was noticeably worse than chapter previous to this one.
There was an overuse of static cgs which could have easily been turned into comic sections. Regarding the static cgs, I dont know why ZZZ devs are using them, this started at the end of 1.2 with the Miyabi scene and also happened in 1.3 and 1.4. This needs to stop, The first 3 chapters of the game didnt have this and neither did the 1.1 special episode. If they really want use static cgs then its better than make them dynamic or animated and preferably limit themselves to not showing them for more than 1 minute or even better turn them into comic sections.
This is something the community needs pushback now rather than later as the use of the static cgs is growing increasingly annoying over time.
The amount of yap that happens outside of voiced sections of the story is also increasing and I feel these sections have to be slashed from the story now and in the future, either voice them or remove them.
The end of the special episode had a section akin to the quality time feature, with Astra and Evelyn. This section had the same issues quality time currently has, long delays between voice lines and lack of facial animations.
The “zoom call” mode also needs an overhaul, I don’t see how when characters are supposedly holding objects in the story, the objects cant appear in the screen.
Conclusion:
I really enjoy ZZZ and this post isn’t to slander the game but rather to provide feedback and spark a discussion. The ZZZ devs have been very receptive to feedback and I feel as if the community asks for this improvements the devs will definitely take this feedback into consideration.

Hi everyone! I’m seeking advice on fieldwork sites and would love your input. I’m planning to complete my fieldwork in the Dallas area (or within 1–1.5 hours) and am hoping to find sites that align with my interests and experience. My biggest passions are animal-assisted therapy and outdoor therapy, and I have a background as a professional dog trainer specializing in service and therapy dogs.
I’m particularly interested in working with pediatrics and the IDD community. I’ve previously worked as an ABA therapist and a job specialist for adults with IDD, so I’m hoping to find opportunities where I can continue supporting these populations. While it’s not required that I complete one pediatric and one adult rotation, it is recommended, so I’d like to explore those options.
I recently found an incredible animal-assisted therapy site that seems like a perfect fit, but they only accept fieldwork students for a minimum of 6 months. Has anyone encountered similar sites, know if fieldwork advisors allow only one rotation, or have suggestions for settings like this in the Dallas area? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I recently broke my ankle and I have to have surgery on January 30th to have a plate and multiple screws put in. My Dr. told me that I need to stop using Nicotine pouches RIGHT NOW and I cannot use them for 6 weeks after my surgery. I have the 4MG ON pouches, which is a synthetic Nicotine. Can anyone tell me if it's ACTUALLY necessary for me to stop for pre-op and post-op? I just know that during the questionnaire, he only asked if I smoked cigarettes, which I do not. I had to mention my pouches for him to even say that, so how serious can it be?

I'm going to a new college next week. I left my old university in fall of 2023, because of extreme mental health issues. Now after over a year, I'm going back to school and I am terrified.
I need this. I need routine, I need a life. I've spent the past year almost totally alone if not for my boyfriend. And almost always at my house or his house. I've avoided a lot of the city and outside. I haven't seen friends, and I stopped using other social media so for most of my friends or people I know, I quite literally disappeared.
This month has been massively successful in terms of my mental health. At the ennd of december, I didn't think I would make it very far into the year. But meds have started working, I've been meditating everyday, working out, learning about philosophy, journaling, doing exposure therapy. Trying to be disciplined. And a lot is getting better. But, it is still a challenge to exist as myself and although it's less, there's still times where I just want to give up.
I have suppressed my personality since I was a child, since I was always told I was "too much" by everyone. I don't really know how to interact with people authentically, I always am just what I think they want me to be like, or just nothing at all. Withdrawn, quiet. I have an entirely new start in front of me, I don't want to fuck it up. But I don't know if I trust myself enough to not fuck it up.
Returning back to school, my entire life is going to change. All of my routines, I will be exposed to triggers everyday. And I'm taking some classes that will massively take me out of my comfort zone which was my choice. I try to see challenges as opportunities, but I'm overwhelmed. And haven't taken enough time to process. I start in 5 days. Trying to remind myself that my schedule is easy, and I have lots of resources for help. I'm just scared.
This is mostly just to vent, but any words are appreciated. I feel like a lot of people would love the opportunity to start over like this, but I'm scared.
