What is a good script or play by play to talk to my bosses boss about a toxic work environment with my boss and coworkers.
Note the coworkers are deeply vindictive and will make my life hell even after I leave. Think no one would hire me. When she hates someone the chess game of character assassination is real and she is very connected.
I want to ask my boss to move me to another county job (I don’t think she can?)
Not sure what to step by step do or say. I am afraid any attempt at this will spring a trap they have long been waiting for.
They have covered their tracks well and phrased things so professionally that any outside looking in wouldn’t see the problem.

I'm not sure if I'm just stupid or if my game is completely broken, but I have many steam workshop mods enabled and yet only some of them work. I'm not sure why this is, as many of these mods have fairly good reviews, but only a few of them actually show up in my character menu when I try to use them. If there's anyone who knows anything about why this is happening, or even better a potential solution, please help!!

Do you think family members eventually come around to accepting their kid(s) as the gender they want to be? The reason why I’m asking this is because whenever I came out to my family members (aunts specifically speaking), the response was pretty expected but at the same time felt like a stab in the back. The response was “you’re never going to be a boy, god made you into a perfect little girl” 😑. I had felt like they were invalidating my feelings and that I had no right of feeling this way. Ever since then, I’ve hoped and prayed (still do) that they’ll eventually come around to accepting me as their nephew. I wasn’t gonna come out to them at all just because I knew that they were super christian and that they had these type of beliefs but I felt like I had to let them know (if that makes sense) If you were lucky enough to have family members eventually come around to accepting you, what was that like for you?

I have a quick question related to my job. I’ve cleared 11 exams of ACCA, including the professional level SBR and AAA. Currently, I’m working as an accountant in a firm where I use Xero and QuickBooks. I’ve been in this role for about 7-8 months, and while the job is easy, I feel like I’m not learning much. I’m considering changing jobs.
Here’s my actual question: I received a call from a US CPA about a job opportunity in internal audit at a startup. The catch is that I would be one of the first 3-4 employees in the company. The CPA seems very knowledgeable (I checked his LinkedIn), but I’m not very familiar with internal audit. They mentioned they’d train me for this role.
So, I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to join a startup like this, especially with the night shift? While I think I could manage the night shift, I’m unsure if joining a startup at this stage is the right move. What do you think?

Moving to NYC next month.
I’ll be living two blocks from my job so I won’t be commuting.
I am looking at a $1500 range, can go up a bit. I will use it to explore NYC, take scenic rides and stuff.
My priority will be reliability, range and speed. I’m hoping any scooter I get will be 30+ MPH to keep up with city traffic (mostly 25MPH).
I was looking at the new Segway GT3, Emove V2.
I’m also a somewhat heavy rider at 230 pounds.

2025.01.23 02:34 Lmlazo23 I think my boss is having an affair
I work for a small family company with about 50 employees. There are 3 owners, one of which is the CEO who makes all the final decisions (hiring, firing, etc) He is largely absent and only comes into the office maybe 1-2 a week so he is rarely there to observe the day to day interactions between employees. For about 2 years now I have suspected that my manager (female-non owner) is having an affair with one of the owners (male-non CEO owner). They spend all day every day together and their jobs do not require such close proximity. Most of the day they are in her office, in the DARK, with the door shut. They are completely unresponsive to emails, texts, phone calls and if you knock on the door you are obviously interrupting whatever they’re doing. They often go to lunch just the two of them and will even leave early, one right after the other, when the CEO or other coowner is not there.
One day when they left early I drove passed her house and his truck was there. I even took photos for proof if ever needed. They are both married however she recently left her husband and has her own apartment close to the office. I have met and know both of their spouses well and they seem like great people. Obviously no one knows what happens behind closed doors but I still feel awful for their spouses knowing about this affair.
This is weighing on me mentally, not only from a personal aspect but because it also affects my job. Because she is so unresponsive it makes it extremely difficult to do my job. My other coworkers agree and say the same things about them however all of them are too afraid to approach the situation. I have a good relationship with the other coowner (non ceo) and he approached the ceo about the concerns (not the affair because we don’t technically have proof) and the ceo got upset with him for meddling with “her department” and even called him a narcissist. She is also technically the hr manager so there’s literally no one else I can talk to about this. I don’t know what to do. I really love my job and my coworkers aside from this aspect but this is weighing on me mentally. It’s hard for me to sit back and watch them do nothing and have this affair while also completely neglecting the team she’s supposed to be managing. What do I do!! Help!!
