Hi everyone, I am a reader who is primarily a marvel fan and I have a modest collection of 5 (6?) omnis: hickman avengers 1 and 2, guardians solo classic, jms spidey 1, morrison animal man, and technically immortal hulk (it’s broken down into 4 paperbacks that claim to be omnibus). I have enough money for one omni, so what marvel omnis do you recommend (preferably under 100 dollars)? I was leaning towards getting walt simonson’s thor because I’ve never read the run before, but books like grunewald cap, morrison x men, and anything F4 intrigued me as well. Is the simonson book worth it, and if not are there any notable runs I should try?

 | My wife and I are photographers and she really wanted to try out some nature photography. We ended up staying the night in a B and B in La Connor and getting up really early to catch the sunrise out on the Skagit River valley to see the geese come ashore from their massive flocks out on the bay. Turns out she had a great idea and we got more than we bargained for! I brought my drone and used it to practice some smoother flying techniques. In case you’re sick of politics or news or just want something nice to do on a weekend when it’s nice in January the geese will be in the area around Fir Island until around March or April. The dress code is Coastal California Chic. I googled it and suggestions are all over the place. The venue skews more dressy than casual and I’m leaning towards a long dress. March 1 in South Florida. Hi, i wanted to know how some maintain the crispiness of guanciale when adding to sauce. For example, when I make amatriciana i add my tomatoes to the fried guanciale. The guanciale loses its crispiness and changes texture almost like it was boiled. Maybe it wasn't fried long enough out of fear of it getting tough
Either way, To fix this i removed the guanciale and set it aside. still use the remaining oil from the fat with the tomatoes to make the sauce. Later topping the pasta w the pork.
It came out excellent but I know ppl do leave the guanciale in w the sauce. Im doing something wrong and would like your thoughts

 | Hello, I’m not really sure how Reddit works but January 4 I woke up with a swollen eyelid and didn’t know what it was then it got worse the next day when my whole eyelid started to swell so I put warm compress and it started to get better so the next the it was just a bump and that bump has been there ever since. I’ve only used warm compress since I have gotten it because I didn’t really know what else to do so if you guys have any advice please let me know! I’ll show the pictures from when it started and the progress! So, I'm trans, and have been on hormones for roughly 3 years now. I had top surgery 2 months ago, and it went wonderfully. ♥️
Personally, I feel I pass pretty well? I have a deep enough voice, a full beard, broad shoulders and a flat chest. Only things that clock me are my thighs (I hide them) and height (I'm 5'2, can't do anything about that). Plus, I guess I act kinda feminine? I'm not really afraid of that, and don't really want to act blunt just to pass as more masc ykno.
Before I had top surgery, I told a select few people at my work, people I felt I could trust with it. One of these people is a cisgendered girl a few years younger than me. She buys me boba, is very cuddly, and is nice to me, seemingly a sweet person.
When I initially came out to her, she was polite with asking questions, and mostly just seemed a bit worried about me having surgery (Fair).. But on one of my last days, she gave me this look, and ik I'm autistic but I swear my brain clocked it as.. Pity?
Post surgery, I noticed her language started to change. She stopped trying to correct herself when deadnaming and misgendering me. I figured, no big deal, she knows I'm a guy, and I felt too awkward to correct her. (Because, like.. I'm obviously not a woman lmao, it's odd to refer to me as such)?
Well, today I came into work early (Bought myself and her coffee before work as a nice treat), work goes by, store closes. A few of us are chatting in a group, and she misgendered me infront of another coworker (who is her boyfriend) that I have history with (He was interested in me before her but I'm not about dating coworkers or questionably "Straight" men lol).
He corrects her repeatedly, and they then start to argue over my gender with me standing right there. Him going, "No, he's a he. His name is Blank" and her kinda laughing uncomfortably.. I can feel where the conversation is going, and at this point in the night I'm too tired to form a cohesive thought, so I just say to her.. "Please don't say what you're about to say" honestly silently begging her not to, but to my dismay, she motions to me and goes..
"Cmon, I mean, just look at her".
When I tell you that shit stung, like.. 🥹 I felt that in the pit of my stomach. I just feel so.. Disappointed and defeated by this. I'm comfortable in my body, and feel I pass well, but hearing this remark from someone I considered a friend and a safe space at my work (We've hung out outside of work, I went to her birthday party FFS).. It just felt so bad??
I wanna say, I'm not reporting her. I get the vibe she's simply ignorant to the offensiveness of what she said, and I just.. don't have the heart to be mad at her for it.. I'm just sad.
Maybe I can try to talk to her about how she hurt my feelings in the future, but I really don't know how to go about that.
I wanted to vent a little, and ask if anyone had any trans positivity to cheer me up in the comments. I really need it right now, thanks guys. 💔🏳️⚧️

The amount of hate coming from supposed fans at certain traitors (usually and not coincidentally women, it seems) for playing a cutthroat game is really baffling and frustrating.
You willingly signed up to watch a show called The Traitors. A show where the titular traitors lie, manipulate and betray all to get a big pile of money and you're mad that they're behaving treacherously? You're mad that they're not risking their own position in the game to give your favs (who are playing visibly worse games) a better shot at the gold? If this kind of no-punches-pulled gameplay isn't something you enjoy then why are you even watching a show called The Traitors to begin with?
>!Charlotte!< in U.K. 3 has done nothing wrong. Alex in Australia 1 did nothing wrong. Cirie in U.S. 1 did nothing wrong. They embraced their roles to the fullest and all played fantastic games. That's what The Traitors is all about!
Stop demonizing people, women especially, for simply being great. Stop demanding that the literal "murderers" in this game play up being "nice" in their choices to earn your respect on their way to the win. That's literally the opposite of what being a traitor is. This is the show. Full stop. And it will continue to reward those that play like the ladies mentioned above because that's exactly what the game is all about (for the traitors anyway). And there's nothing wrong with that.

I’m about 18 months in and have roughly 14 months to go. I am missing my pleasure reads immensely. I have beautiful people in my life who gave me books for Christmas and my birthday this year. They’re sitting in a pile, and I know I will not get to them this year.
I think it’s the time of year, and point of my program, but I’m exhausted, unmotivated, and deeply missing life pre grad school.
I am grateful for audiobooks, my saving grace, but it’s just not the same as cozying up with tea and getting lost all evening in a book.
Anyways, thanks for reading. Back to research and writing I go!

I (19F) from a big university am already crying sa simula palang ng 2nd sem. For context I am a pre-med student, and I am very overwhelmed by my subjects kahit na orientation palang napapagdaanan ko. I have 6 majors that I need to pass para makalagpas ako ng 1st year. Pinakascary dito ang organic chemistry. Chemistry is my biggest weakness, and di nakakatulong na terror yung professor. I've been crying endlessly since the first day of classes, pagkauwi ko ng first f2f, I cried walking home. I cried as I entered my room, and I felt suffocated with my uniform on.
Ang dami ko lang iniisip, like how both sides of my family have such high hopes na makakatapos ako bilang doktor, which I was very hopeful at first, pero unti-unti ng nawawala yung apoy sa kandila ko.
Please help me. I'm probably the most soft-hearted person I know. I'm very emotional and cry easily, it's very hard for me to navigate and control my emotions. Suki rin ako sa guidance counselor dati haha, but I don't have time for that now.
I know I should just suck it up and stop crying, but I dislike my situation so much that it makes me a crying mess. Any advice? Any stories that could comfort me from this living hell? Thank you.
