2025.01.23 04:18 black_dragon8 I need help! Suggestions on any warm up games that are ASL friendly?

I’m directing a play and for the first time ever, I am working with an actor who is hard of hearing. They have a hearing aid device, but still asked for an ASL interpreter and needs to read lips. As we were warming up before rehearsal today, I lead the improv game “Zip, Zap, Zop!” And just realized that, due to their disability, they were getting the vowels confused, and that’s how they “messed up”. We obviously clapped and cheered when it happened, but it made me realized that I was probably putting this actor on the spot by playing a game that would be harder for them to play due to their disability.
So, does anybody know any theatre warm up games that are ASL or hard or hearing friendly? All the games I know have speaking involved or listening closely to other people… 😵‍💫

My wife and I are planning a visit to St. John in May and have narrowed down lodging to two different places. Mostly looking for feedback on location, or the actual places themselves.
One is the Conch Villa Vistas over on Century St. The other is Aqua Bay Villa on Seagrape St.
We would ideally like to be in walking distance of restaurants and shops. We do also plan on renting a Jeep so parking is good to know about as well.
We also looked at the Grande Bay Resort but we're unsure on the fact they say they don't guarantee parking, and it's more expensive.

Hello everyone! Hope your day(and maybe your warzones) are going well!
I am an extremely new player at this game with 4 games under my belt, albeit longer games than what Im generally used to. Its not a confusing game per se, and I understand there are nuances to how you progress with the team, offend or defend with your squad, etc, and Im super enjoying being an automatic rifleman in mid and close quarters!..
.. on that note, Im not understanding why when our team seems to be in a decent position and holding a defense that someone references allowing the enemy team to take the point we've been defending for thirty minutes? Im happy to admit im not the best at shooter games, but this seems completely counterintuitive to the goal of winning the game, or am I misunderstanding the goals entirely?
tl;dr is giving up points to the enemy team normal "for fun"?

First petg print, hiw to reduce stringing? Printed with pla until today without issues. Tried petg fpr the first time.used 230c for extruder and 70 for bed. All the rest I've used cura defualts. A bit hard to see but all the area in the photo is filled with strings.

I’m trying to save money for a Switch 2 and I wanna know whats the LOWEST i can spend on food with adequate protein.
Currently I can do like 800 aed per month while getting in a good amount of protein. Is there any way to make that number lower to ~400 and also not make the food taste like ass? (I have savings but I don’t wanna use them for a Switch 2 💀)
But also I would like to see how diff people spend on food. Careem is convenient but quite costly.

hi just wondering if anyone has been through this, i’m on prozac for pure ocd, agoraphobia, anxiety, and depression and im now on day 3 and feeling pretty paranoid and scared and disassociated something that is not foreign to me at all but definitely exacerbated. same thing happened when i trialed clomipramine. has anyone been through this? does it get better?

It’s not an easy choice to move on from someone you love. It’s not an easy choice to put yourself first. It’s okay to end up being not okay with polyamory - even if you thought you were. It’s not selfish or “giving up” to realize that you were compromising with what you actually wanted.
I know a lot of people here are looking for advice and help, but I’m sure there’s others like me that were sitting here thinking this advice would somehow justify what they knew in their heart was wrong.
