2025.01.23 06:47 chaiteadelight Help! 2 mechanics have told me I’m chasing a “ghost sound” I’m losing my mind. Please any help would be great!
 | In November I started hearing a noise in the front end of my truck. It really sounds like it was coming from the front passenger side. It sounds like when you drive over hard packed snow and you can hear the revolution on the wheel. But in stead it sounds just something is rubbing on a certain spot in the wheel. It’s hard to explain. I’m attaching a video. The frustrating part is sometimes you can hear it and sometimes you can’t. I swear every time I had someone look at it, whether friend or mechanic it would magically stop. Eventually about a month around I started feeling a humming vibration in my feel while I’m driving at any speed (I also feel this when the “ghost sound” is happening). I took it to a second mechanic who told me that my alignment was out and the humming is a result of wearing. GREAT. So I took it in to get an alignment done and my front passenger toe in was pretty bad and a light toe in on the front driver (see pics of report). They told me the wear wasn’t too bad and they didn’t need to do a rotate. AWESOME. I drove it the following day. And wouldn’t you know it, the mystery sound is back. My husband put my front passenger on my rear driver to see if the sound would move or not. It did not. So now I’m just at a loss I have no idea what it could be and I’m worried I’ll lose a wheel or something while going down the highway. Important notes: Firstly, the first mechanic told me he couldn’t hear anything or see anything when he had the wheel off, so he told me that he couldn’t help me. It took my husband 2 weeks to finally hear it (it has gotten a lot more frequent now tho). Secondly, I got new KO2s in sept, an alignment and a balance, so I’m really not sure what threw it out. I haven’t hit anything or got stuck. And lastly, when I have my truck in 4H there is no sound at all. Oh shoot sorry my truck is a 2018 F-150 Lariat 2.7 eco boost. 180,000kms or 113,000 miles (I think) I didn’t realize I couldn’t add pics too. 2025.01.23 06:47 defuzahh (23m) I took the wrong subjects in school and dropped out of varsity, how do I get into biology from here?
I had a bad attitude in school and took easy subjects. I had a total lack of direction and thus, was not driven at all. Unfortunately, I took maths LIT because I never thought I’d be interested in finance or science. I also took Geography, History and Economics. I did well and got a few distinctions.
I studied 1.5 years of a BSocSci politics and philosophy at UCT, and a year of economics at Varsity College. I detested both experiences, politics at UCT was a nightmare for a white dude tbh, people were just straight up cruel to me for existing inside that space, and I had the infamous Dr Lushaba as a lecturer.
I then dropped out to work and save up for travelling. Spent 6 months in South America which did not provide me with the direction I thought it would. Typical story of a privileged kid blinded by instant gratification and depression.
My question is: how do I correct my errors and align myself with a degree I’m actually interested in (Biology/Microbiology)?
Would this essentially mean self-studying biology until matric level and then taking the government exam? Would I also need to do maths? Is there an official pipeline I can follow for situations like mine?

Basically a couple of years ago my buddy showed me the first episode of breaking bad, and told me he would show me a suprise at the end of it. Sorry if this is a stupid question but do they need to charge for wired mode? Mine has a cord for wired use, but can connect wirelessly too.  | I am very pleased with the game so far. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the animation style but I really like it. I already enjoy it more than the first game. Aside from the 1000 in app purchases they make you want to purchase my only reservation is the gear scaling. I’m currently on chapter 28 and the damage output from the mobs is just insane. It’s nice having the healing sprite, it makes it easier to recover from mistakes. But normal monsters dealing 10,000 hp just seems too steep. Leveling up gear just seems so minimal. I've recently started therapy for anxiety/depression, today we talked about my child self and who I was and why I don't seem to engage with him. I brought up that a lot of those times I'm usually neck deep in my emotions so I don't know how to reach for someone else while I myself am drowning.
The thing that I can't get over is I've been depressed before but today during that session I felt new emotions I can't describe and I feel helpless cause I don't know how to address those feelings. My "homework" was im suppose to address these feelings as if they're my younger self but I don't know what to do and how to even approach that.
How do you love some part of yourself you barely remember? How do you talk to your younger self and break through so they get that message? My biggest problem with self help is it's explained only so far
