My coparent is also my abuser, and is ruining my life. Our son is a mini version of his father. Acts just like him and absolutely adores him. His father uses him against me, manipulates him, and just uses him as a means to control me. I've spent years doing everything in my power to take care of this child, but I am absolutely miserable. My whole life revolves around him and his father. He's currently being withheld from me and his father is trying to say I abused him. This is completely untrue, but I'm going to have to enter a large legal battle to fix this. I'm debating terminating my parental rights. I feel like the only way to resolve this is I take full custody with his father completely gone, or vice versa. And I don't see any scenario where his father walks away from me or him. We simply can't coparent. I am so depressed, I have PTSD, and his father just tortures me. I love my son. I love him so deeply. But I NEED relief. I need his father to go away. And I feel like the only way that'll happen is if I terminate my rights.

Female senior associate here. Just some friendly questions for my male colleagues:
-Has it crossed your mind that you are not the first attorney to fall mildly ill while working in this job?
-Have you considered that you are not the first attorney to dislike that you still are expected to work even though you’d rather be eating soup and cuddling with your mommy?
-Did you know that under no circumstances, even though you feel soooo poopy (we’re sorry!), is it appropriate to act pouty and rude to your partners or clients, but instead you can just communicate healthy boundaries as needed to recoup (accompanied by very little, preferably actually no, details regarding your bodily functions, especially the state of your bowel movements, and absolutely no references to specific bacterial strains in the email)??
I could go on but I’ll stop with these three big picture queries, which after years of incidents currently begged to be asked after three (3) male colleagues ranging from second years to of counsel have acted like absolute babies this week due to the low grade fever that EVERYONE HAS RIGHT NOW, INCLUDING ME, which they don’t know because I am an adult that can manage discomfort and my schedule without needing to ensure that every human I work with knows that I am experiencing said discomfort in some kind of sad strange hope of garnering pity and also I have some semblance of shame!!!
Anyway just wondering :)

I keep seeing all these AI breakthrough announcements, are we all actually going to get replaced of jobs, or will we do something else. Historically new jobs get created with every large technological advancement, but there doesn’t seem to be any clarity or direction of what those new jobs will be this time?
I’m having trouble finding a job now, but when I think about the next 10 years of my career, it seems like all things will move to AI and I’m not sure if I’d be working towards something that will be irrelevant.
I just feel stuck but the also uncertain about the future. Any insights anyone has is really appreciate.
