Growing up, my family always used ceiling lights or large floor lamps, so turning the lights on and off was done with one wall switch. I also never paid any attention to home decorating and interior design until recently, and I heard that you need multiple lamps in different locations to achieve softer, moodier lighting. So, to those of you who have lots of lamps per room, are you going around turning each of them on and off, one at a time, every day? Having grown up the way I did, I personally get a little bit annoyed when I have even one extra lamp to deal with - are you just used to it, or do you accept it as the price to pay for nicer lighting? Or do you invest more in power strips, lots of wall switches and switched outlets, or smart bulbs/plugs?

One of my closest friends has English as her second language and she speaks well enough to be understood, but sometimes she makes some mistakes. A lot of times it’s just small grammar mistakes like “I’m use to it” instead of “I’m used to it.” But I’m worried about the bigger mistakes where it changes the meaning of her whole sentence.
The biggest thing that worries me is how poor her interpretation is. She needs help with understanding some really basic things, which we all do sometimes, but she misunderstands a lot of important stuff and always asks me to explain it to her, which I’m 100% fine with. However I’m not free all the time to help her, and I truly think that if her English was better she’d have an easier time understanding these things.
I also have English as a second language and when I first started learning it I always told people to correct any little mistake I did, and that helped a lot. Whenever I try to help her she kinda gets mad at me, or she gets frustrated. Or she will say “I can’t to this rn”
Well my question is, should I stop correcting her? I feel like a good friend wouldn’t let you walk out of the house looking stupid, and the way I see it, it’s a disservice to her if I don’t help her with her English.

I know we need to file a form 1065 before 03/15/2025.
