Suite au récent appel aux volontaires pour rejoindre la modération, nous avons reçu bon nombre de candidatures de qualité et le choix n'a pas été facile. Nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que, suite aux délibérations, deux nouveaux modérateurs viennent de rejoindre l'équipe de VosSous !
u/jeyreymii et u/el_bobvador ont été choisis pour leur engagement et leur passion pour les finances personnelles. Ils seront là pour veiller à la qualité des discussions et contribuer à faire du subreddit un espace encore plus utile et bienveillant.
Un grand merci à toute la communauté pour votre participation active. VousSous va bientôt atteindre les 10 000 membres mais est déjà très actif pour sa taille. Notre souhait est que VosSous et VosFinances soient des références pour les finances personnelles en France !

Hola. Hace unos días estaba viendo Better Call Saul y me pregunté, ¿qué piensan otras personas de mi país sobre este tipo de series? Veo que muchas personas detestan los narcocorridos, y, según tengo entendido, la gente odia este tipo de canciones porque glorifican y promueven al narco. En cambio, eso no está en Better Call Saul ni en Breaking Bad, que son las series que he visto yo. Claro, muestran el dinero que hacen, pero tambien muestran gente morir a cada rato, muestran las consecuencias devastadoras de meterse en este tipo de cosas, y, en ocaciones, de consumir sus sustancias.
Eso es solo lo que he visto, sí, son cárteles originarios de México, pero prácticamente todo ficticio. De cosas de la realidad, solo mencionan a los Zetas en un enunciado y a Pablo Escobar (quien no es de México). Pero, como dije, solo lo que he visto. Supongo que hay cosas peores, como la de Narcos: Mexico.
Solo quería preguntar, de verdad, lamento mucho si la pregunta es estupida, parece grosera, insensata o se puede interpretar de cualquier otra manera negativa, no es mi intención, ok? :)

I've only gone to one Galaxy game when I was a kid and I am planning on going next season against LAFC. I don't live close to the stadium, which is why I'm so hesitant about buying tickets, especially if they're so expensive. Do Galaxy, more specifically Galaxy v LAFC, tickets drop in price closer to the date or is it cheaper if I just get them now? Thanks.

2025.01.23 07:01 BrimmedHearth I've hit rock bottom and now i don't know what to do.
(I apologize in advance for the obnoxiously long length of this post. I totally understand any "essay/thesis" jokes that might sprout from it)
I'm not sure how to start this, but I've failed everyone in my life, and worst of all, I've failed God. A year ago I compromised on a conviction of mine in order to make someone I love happy, something I now know was a form a idolatry. Well, this compromise had led me to a quick downward spiral spiritually speaking. I got into addictions, addictions I had broke off of when I was a teenager. I got into a relationship with someone God had 100% clearly and audibly told me to avoid at all costs. Worst of all, through this compromise, I had assumed my own inner voice was God's, and I allowed my compromise to fester because I thought it was "God's will" to work something potentially in or out of me through it.
A year later, and I'm now at rock bottom. I've cut the relationship out cold turkey, I've removed the method of compromise, I've done everything (i assume at least) God has told me to do, and now I'm nothing. My calling He had on my life is now a desolate wasteland because of my sins. Loved ones are now left confused and hurt. Worst of all, I've hurt and betrayed God. I'm so ashamed. Ashamed that I gave so much of myself to someone who I will now forever look back on with shame, disgust, and regret. Ashamed that I denied God just so I could live life my way. Ashamed that I chose the approval of man rather than the approval of God. I know He remains faithful to me, even amidst my mistakes, but I just can't bare this burden of my failures. I have completely wrecked my life and I have nothing to show for it but deep shame. Figuratively, I feel like David, who murdered an innocent man and stole his wife, only to be left with a dead child and a ruined relationship with God. I just don't know what a first step forward even looks like for me. I'm just so lost and purposeless and it's all my own fault.

I am applying for computational biology programs and all of my research projects to date have been related to cancer. I am interviewing for a few programs where I expressed an interest in neuroscience or immunology and I briefly explained how my experience with these other projects could be applied to these areas in my SOP. Is there a good way to address a pivot in interests in an interview? I was thinking of discussing how I couldn't get opportunities to explore these other areas as an undergraduate but I'm excited to do that at your school which has a strength in that area and here are the skills I can apply from my previous projects to this new area of interest. I also have compelling personal stories driving these new interests, but I'm not sure if I should share them in the interview.
Also, if anyone else is pivoting interests, how much are you researching the new area of interest before interviews? I'm currently planning on reading papers of people I may be interviewing, but I'm not sure if I should do more extensive research in advance.
