Feeling pretty discouraged. The topic of Catholicism came up on the phone with my mother and she was very triggered by it. Now of my two parents, I thought she would be the easier to share about my conversion with. She was confirmed Catholic but walked away at 16. When she met my dad in her late 20s (who wasn't even a Christian) they started attending a Calvary Chapel non-denom church.
I knew my dad would hate the decision but to hear how bothered my mom was by even mentioning Catholicism really hurt. She's always had a beautiful relationship with the Lord so I asked her to just pray.
Also important to mention! This wasn't even about the fact that I'm being confirmed in April. This was because my Catholic boyfriend asked my father for his blessing to propose. She was talking to me about it and somehow we ended up talking about how I plan to let our future children have the sacraments. So this was anger about the potential, future grandkids we might have with my current boyfriend who hasn't even proposed.
I just hate hiding this but I've been inquiring for 15 months and praying. I nearly broke up with my boyfriend for being Catholic so this wasn't a decision I just jumped into. I feel like God has really made things clear for me. Now i'm wondering if I should even tell them or avoid further family division and keep it to myself. My dad just committed adultery so our family is a mess and I'm very excited to convert but I'm not sure if it would be a testimony to them or just make things difficult for my boyfriend/future fiancé.

For example, I only drink vodka and tequila, sometimes whiskey to avoid sugary drinks. I'll give you some context; this Sunday, I bought a litre bottle of vodka. It's now Thursday, and I've finished all of it alone in the dark of my room at night (not all in one night, mind you). I've been slowly chipping away at it since Sunday. A few shots here and there to get me buzzed and vibe to music for a bit before eating and sleeping it all off with no hangovers. What do you guys think? Is that pretty serious? I should add I can sleep without alcohol at this point.

Hi all, Looking for advice. I (F) live in Canada and my fiance (M) and I both work at the same company. He’s apart of the companies sales department and has been accused of racism, physically aggression (they didn’t give an example of this accusation) and micro aggression against a co worker (F) He was pulled into a meeting with our bosses, asked to write an employee statement as they are further investigating the matter. He will have a meeting with HR after completion of this statement. These accusations are categorically false, and we believe he is being accused following a meeting he had a week prior with his boss about the accusers work ethic and laziness that puts more work on the rest of the team. It’s worth noting my finance is the only white guy apart of the sales team - they all share the same office space yet no one else has experienced any kind of racism or discrimination, or witnesses it. We believe one of the other girls in the sales department who is the accusers best friend will vouch for her based solely on the fact that they’re friends. Wondering how we should go about this HR meeting and employee statement as we don’t want as we don’t want to give them any ammo. Meaning show them he had a reason or motive to be racist, despite the fact that he is not a fan of working with her- her race has no relevance. Should we consult a lawyer prior to this meeting? If he loses his job should we consult a lawyer? He’s not too worried about losing his job as he was already looking else where, however I think we should do something based on principle. People should not be able to throw out accusations so frivolously. Thanks for any advice or help! Sorry for the excessive details.
