Hi everyone,
I’m new to 3D printing, and after quite a bit of research, I’ve narrowed down my options to the Bambulab X1 Carbon (X1C) and the Creality K2 Plus. That said, I’m still stuck on which one to pick, so I thought I’d ask for the community’s guidance. Here’s my situation:
Experience Level
I’m a beginner when it comes to 3D printing, but I do have some very old experience designing 3D models. Back in the day (when dinosaurs roamed the earth, aka the late ‘90s and early 2000s), I dabbled with tools like 3D Studio Max and Maya. It’s been a while, though, so let’s just say I’m shaking the rust off.
Design Workload
While I’ll mostly be printing off-the-shelf stuff, I do plan to design custom calligraphy pieces for wall art. Most of this will involve religious script calligraphy, so precision and detail matter to me. Beyond that, I’d like something that’s reliable for printing home décor items.
Goals
My primary use case is calligraphy printing and home décor designs. My secondary goal is to involve my son—he’s excited about learning 3D printing and will probably print fun stuff like toys, miniatures, and other creative things. Having a reliable and easy-to-use printer will help keep his interest (and mine).
What I’m Looking For • Ease of Use: I’d like something beginner-friendly that doesn’t require constant tweaking or maintenance. • Minimal Effort: I’m not looking to dive deep into printer calibration or hardware troubleshooting—I’d rather focus on designing and printing. • Budget: I’m willing to spend more if it’s truly worth the convenience and performance. • Durability & Reliability: A printer that can handle frequent use without too many hiccups would be ideal.
What Do You Think?

I’m curious to find out how much everyone studies daily/weekly?
Even in my own class some spend their free time only studying (3+ hours a day) and some never study but still pass.
I usually spend max 2h a week and that’s usually writing assignments but before exams I study the whole day or night before lol (M25)

Hoi allemaal,
Ik zit na anderhalf jaar tegen het einde aan van mijn 2e spoor traject, ter re-integratie van een burn-out. Ik werk nu 24u en moet momenteel solliciteren voor een baan.
Mijn werkgever verwacht dat ik een nieuwe re-integratie plek zoek met uitzicht op vaste aanstelling. Ik heb ook een arbeidscoach die ik zie, die zegt dat ik hiervoor via de gewone weg moet solliciteren en pas later in het proces mijn situatie moet toelichten. Dit voelt voor mij niet helemaal lekker omdat ik liever transparant ben maar ook begrijp dat het niet altijd even verstandig is om te melden dat je uit een burn-out komt. Ik gok wel dat ik niet veel tijd meer nodig ga hebben voor herstel en ik voor het einde van de zomer weer normaal kan werken.
Verder wordt er verwacht dat ik contact opneem uit mijn netwerk - die heb ik alleen bijna niet omdat ik tijdens mijn eerste baan in een burn-out terecht ben gekomen.
Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee of tips?

I've just checked and there were 94 names on last years line-up, so far we have 31 announced for 2025? I'm hoping for some that will make me excited enough to buy tickets as I loved it last year. I already have the accommodation sorted (not camping)- but they need to excite me with the next lot of names! For me festivals aren't about the main headliners anyway - give me some good live indie bands!

I have a 2003 Honda CRV and i'm getting a P0420 code which is tuning on the check engine light but then after a few days it then goes off before coming back on. Knowing it's related to the catalytic converter, is there anything to look at or is the fact that it's turning itself off something to feel a bit better about and maybe even ignore it until it becomes constant and stops turning off?

I was wondering if it was worth taking the 6k profit and leaving the original 8k in there and letting it do its thing or just let it all ride.
