Hey everyone. I know a previous thread was made about the hiring freeze going on and how this can/will affect VA employment. My heart goes out to those already in the system/potential new hires who are up in limbo right now. I am a student in the residency process right now for PGY-1s and I applied to VA residencies only -- as I fell in love with the VA system on rotations. I have some interviews coming up but am wondering if any one has any words of advice or information upon this affecting incoming PGY-1s? I know a lot is up in the air right now, but this stresses me out (and I am sure others) who are applying to VA residencies. I have only had one program reach out regarding switching from in-person to a virtual interview amid the hiring freeze and uncertainty among the hiring freeze affecting trainees (includes students and residents). Is anyone else absolutely freaking out that may be in a similar boat?

I'm trying real hard to keep letting it grow hoping it'll fill out and then I can trim it into something nicer. I do beard oil, balm, boar brush, blow dry, wash, and nothing will keep these fricks at bay. Trimming is really tricky because you trim one tiny bit and then suddenly something new is out of place and you'll just keep trimming til there's nothing left. It is driving me nuts. Hi guys! He's coming over in a few weeks and oh my, this is going to be our first stay-at-home visit. Prior to this we've only ever stayed at hotels. We can't sleep in my bed because it's only a single. My boy suggested getting an air mattress or something like a tatami/floor futon, in either queen or double size. Has anyone here had any experience with either of those? I'd like to know how they each rank in convenience and comfort.
I'd love to hear about any other alternatives you guys have tried, too. Thanks in advance. 😊

I am thinking about adding a pump to give her running water but is there anyplace that sells these any bigger? Maybe like double wide or something? I think she might enjoy more space to move around when she is in the water rather than just this little dish, she basically only has space to turn around. Turtle for scale lol. I am confident that I’d score good in english aaram se. I have Physical Education as my fifth optional and face no problems with that. I SUCK AT ACCOUNTANCY. I dont even know the names of the chapters. How do I get good marks in boards especially in accounts seeing as i have 0 prep for it?

Im almost certain it's my specs, but I really want to try and find some good settings to make it run perfectly. Im running a 17 year old pc with the highest specs i can run(8gb ram, 1tb harddrive, rx550 gpu, Intel core 2 quad q6700 processor) and according to my friend that built it this is the best i can do right now. My games that I've tried seen to lag and slow down terribly whenever anything is rendered on screen, going anywhere from 280~% on stuff like the PlayStation 2 screen to 24% during actual gameplay. Can anyone help me optimize all my settings?

I was awarded a disability rating of 80% on 22 November 2024 with an effective date of 16 July 2024. I received my first disability check in December. My disability rating was increased to 90% on 08 January 2024 with an effective date of 16 July 2024. I started out at 0% when I submitted my claims. I inquired with the VA about back pay and was told I need to wait for something called an "Audit Error Worksheet from the Defense Finance Accounting Services" to get my back pay. How long does this usually take. Thanks in advance.
