Kind of Vinyl related but more of a needledropping anomoli.
I'm curious if anyone has noticed the mistake in the MP3 version of Counting Crowes - Anna Begins - Live Version (VH1-Storytellers). I've played it on both Amazon Music and Spotify. It's a 13:54-long track.
At 7:30 into the song when the artists are finished, the recording of Anna Begins continues for another 6 mins or so, until 13:54. What I’m listening to at this point is the sound of the tonearm needle, in the run-out area of the record going pop…pop…pop…pop. It seems like the person who ripped the vinyl to digital fell asleep at the turntable.

I go to a private school, pretty niche and strict. It was a special activity day where we got to learn about future jobs and Pre-University programs. At break, i went walking around the school to kill some time. As i was passing the gymnasium, i noticed a chain laying around with nobody else around. I thought to myself : “Sweet! Thats a good looking chain!”, and went to second period. A WHOLE WEEK AFTER i get called up to the office to speak about something. That something was the chain. The principal starts telling me that what i did was stealing (mind you i found it laying around with nobody close) and they started making a HUGE deal out of it at 8 AM in the morning. My head hadnt fully wrapped around the thought that what i did was a crime. They suspended me for 2 days with risk of getting kicked out. Am I overreacting or is my school just racist? Forgot to mention that a RAPIST is free at that school, and he got the same punishment as me, someone who just found something and took it.

My X-T4 froze again during a portrait session (aperture priority mode) with the XF 33mm f/1.4. The on/off switch and the LCD were unresponsive, so I had to remove the battery to restart the camera.Now I’m wondering: could removing the battery suddenly cause any damage to the lens or the aperture mechanism, since it’s constantly adjusting to incoming light? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Trump is flaunting an oligarchy and consolidating power and if people do not respond, we will not be able to fight back anymore. The time to peacefully march and organize is now. But the people’s march already happened and was kind of subdued. I get that people have Trump Fatigue Syndrome but it’s time to stand up for the country and ideals we love because they are on life support. Blissful ignorance will not help us anymore.
Please comment here if you know of any opportunities to get involved. We need to boycott local businesses we’re being forced to patronize by returning to the office. We need to voice that we aren’t okay with unconstitutional executive orders. I'm setting up an Unraid 7.0 system for plex and *arr but wanted to validate my understanding of Cache and Shares is correct.
I have a 2tb NVME drive that is listed under pooled devices as "Cache". Additionally I have Array devices (2x16gb - 1 parity) that I created a share called "data".
In my Shares I see 3 "Useser Shares": appdata, system, and data.
I have "system" and "appdata" using the "cache" device with Primary storage as Cache, secondary as None.
For "data", it's configured as Primary:Cache, Secondary:Array. Which if I understand correctly, if I download something using an *arr, it will be downloaded to the NVME drive, then at the Mover time, it'll be transferred to the Array without my intervention.
If that's correct, then when I'm configuring my *arr's I point the "incomplete" and "complete" to the "data" share.

I know I need to set up a backup of the System and Appdata folders.
I'm still working through the Docker mapping to Share if anyone has a good tutorial/explanation so I don't screw it up.

2025.01.23 18:44 JDYorkWriting San Francisco Flag Redesign Options

I don't really like the current San Francisco Flag (linked here) so I decided to redesign it and with some color options. It's based on a pin sold by the Golden Gate Bridge store (linked here).
Black and Gold are the official colors of San Francisco so the first two options are plays on that. The actual Golden Gate Bridge is painted international orange so the orange ones use that color. The first is supposed to be the bridge on fog grey and the second is supposed to more closely match the pin I was inspired by.
Personally, I like the orange on grey, but I'm curious what everyone's else takes are.
Also side note, I don't like the current San Fran motto "Oro en paz, fierro en guerra" (Gold in peace, iron in war) so I've made a new one to go with the flag: "Procurator saeculi aurei" (Vanguard of the golden age) which seems more appropriate for a city as future forward as SF. Curious to hear thoughts on this too!
