I have just started 2nd year of my PhD and realising that my supervisor does not have a difference between his personal and professional life at all. Just because he had some issues/quarrel with his daughter and wife he completely takes it out on students. Other times he is too sweet. Discussing different projects and taking us on tea breaks with him etc. Sometimes because he wants to go on a short break he takes us with him as well, we don't want to because the stipend we get is not enough to pay the bills ( we have to do all the planning and everything and we split the bill). Now his mood swings are affecting my mental health a lot. I keep thinking why sir didn't respond to my text or why he didn't replied to my email. And I keep thinking to myself why am I doing this? Checking emails all the time if he replied. In short my whole day depends on how my supervisors mood is. And I definitely don't want that. How can I keep a good professional relationship with him? Sometimes I am really scared of how one mistake from me and he'll ruin everything that I have till now. Any kind of suggestions are welcome.

2025.01.23 16:42 CandourND Bloating, pelvic pain, and IBS symptoms ✨
26F. I started experiencing bloating, right sided abdominal pressure, and right shoulder blade pain in August. I did a 2 day fast and it seemed to help the bloating, so I shrugged it off. In like, October? (I have brain fog and remembering when things happened is a bit tricky) I realised that I was persistently bloated, and that even though that 2 day fast seemed to help a little, I realised the bloating had never really gone away. I was struggling to eat because of the pressure in my stomach. Anything I tried to eat, I would regurgitate within 20 minutes, and my stomach would burn. I also noticed my stools were now always accompanied by mucus, and they were getting thinner.
Mid October, I broke out in this insane rash that itched like crazy. I made a GP appointment for the rash, after a nurse prompted me to get it checked while I was having a Holter monitor fitted. When I went for my GP appointment, I decided to bring up the bloating, indigestion, and bowel issues too. She ordered some stool samples, and a CA-125. She also deeply palpated my abdomen, noting that my abdomen was soft with no rigidity or guarding, as well as no organomegaly. She then auscultated my abdomen and noted that my bowel sounds were normal. She prescribed me with mebeverine which is prescribed to IBS patients, just to see if they would give me any relief. You take one 20 minutes before every meal. However, they did not help. Anyways, after the appointment, I googled CA-125, and I was like...frig, could this be what's wrong? Ovarian cancer runs on my mam's side of the family, and she had a full hysterectomy as a preventative measure when I was a kid. She was about 35. My nanna had OC in her 40s, so she has been a survivor for 30+ years. I believe there was also an auntie and a cousin of either my mam or my nanna that also had OC. I got my results back, and my CA-125 was 11. However, I know this doesn't mean much unfortunately, and the pathology write up even said that if symptoms persist, that I will need further testing.
My bloating continued to get worse, and the pressure and tightness in my stomach was unbearable. I went to A&E in November, but I didn't have any scans. A doctor performed a shifting dullness test on me to check for ascites, and it was negative. She also had my LDH tested which was normal, and so I was sent home with laxatives and suppositories to see if they'd help the bloating subside. I will say they helped a bit discomfort wise, but they didn't eliminate the bloating unfortunately.
My bloating still persists and is just as bad on a morning as it is on a night, but isn't causing me as much discomfort as it was in November (touch wood). The right sided abdominal pressure is still going strong. It doesn't hurt, but feels like somebody is pressing down on the right side of my abdomen. The right shoulder blade pain is still present too. As well as this, I have been having right sided pelvic pain since I think the end of November. It started as an ache, but in December it turned into stabbing pains. The pain radiates to my right thigh, and is a burning type of pain. I also get a menthol type feeling in the right side of my pelvis, as if I've applied deep freeze to the area. There have been instances of me sneezing, and suddenly the pain becomes super sharp. I will say that sometimes the pelvic pain also happens on the left side, but I'd say 95% of the time it's on the right.
In December, I was inpatient on a Cardiology ward for a few days, and I spoke to the consultant cardiologist about my pelvic pain and my IBS type symptoms. She wrote on my discharge letter that I require a GI and Gynaecology referral. A few days after I got back home, I had a phone appointment with the GP to discuss the discharge letter. He put through a request for a pelvic ultrasound.
I finally got the appointment letter this afternoon. Pelvic, abdominal, and transvaginal ultrasounds 3 weeks today. I'm relieved to finally have a date, because I was starting to worry that I'd been forgotten about. I am anxious, but it will be a relief to finally get an idea of what's going on.

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently deciding between a 3/4 tonne and whole tonne truck. With each brand, there's not much difference in price between a 3/4 tonne and whole tonne. So why would I go for a 3/4 tonne instead of a whole tonne? I'll probably be getting a travel trailer or maybe a fifth wheel in the near future. Also, any brand in particular that's better than the others? I like Ford trucks. I currently have an F-150. I just don't like that I have to get a Lariat in order to get a heated steering wheel, and even then, I have to get an extra package on top of the Lariat. Thanks!

This has recently been bouncing around my head:
The scorched oil odor is a byproduct of BOB primed for murder. Maddie and Ronette both smelled it when they encountered BOB, respectively.
When Leland smothered Jacques, he was of his own mind. Meaning it wasn’t BOB in control. You could argue that the possession was increasingly driving Leland insane - but regardless, Leland killed Jacques of his own free will. Evidenced by the fact that he remembered doing it. He confessed when caught.
Here’s the kicker- Dr. Jacoby reported the smell on the night of Jacques murder. Even though it wasn’t BOB?
I have two dumb theories. 1) Leland was so consumed by BOB that he basically turning into him (white hair, for example). 2) The writers didn’t fully flesh out this character trait and it’s just a continuity error.

2025.01.23 16:42 4runfun Thought was gallbladder, but found cyst on right kidney….
Been having some dull aches / pains under right rib front that radiates to side and back. Doctor thought could be gallstones/bladder issue, ran labs and then had an ultrasound today. Livegallbladder showed no issues, but a 2.7x2.9x3.2cm cyst was found on the right kidney. With some googling this could potentially be the problem. Some other symptoms I’ve had for a while that could be attributed is frequent urination.
Was wondering if anyone had a “small” cyst and had it removed with some smaller symptoms but not the more major symptoms.
