My husband and I have been wanting me to be a SAHM for a couple of years now. Kiddos are 2.5 and 5 months. We are finally so close to it happening but I want to make sure we are being financially smart as we do live in a HCOL area.
What were some of the steps you made in preparation to quit? Do you continue to make contributions to your 401k and did you buy a life insurance or short/long term disability plan for yourself once you quit?
We’ve knocked down all of our debt and only have the mortgage left and have an emergency fund almost to a balance that would cover 6 months of expenses. Any other tips you have would be appreciated!

I've rode my 2023 gasgas250 with stock spring rate for 2 years now. It's a 176lb rate and I'm 140lbs. The 2 smaller sizes are a 144lb and 160lbs rate.
I am also now an advanced intermediate/almost expert level rider and accustomed to the 176lb already.
Should I get the 144 or 160? I can get proper sag with the stock stiffer spring so I'm thinking 144 may not have enough hold up on drops (I do 5ft+ drops to flat) and should go with 160 as a compromise

I played Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal on PC but I’d need to upgrade the hardware to play anything newer and it still look and feel good. I can’t afford that, but I do have an XSX.
