Given how miserable things seem right now, how do we stop feeling so beaten down and defeated? How do we get that spark of hope back? Everyone is waiting for SOMEONE to do SOMETHING. We saw what Luigi did and we almost didn’t believe it. We saw what he did and we gasped. But not from fear or disgust. We gasped for a breath we didn’t even know we were holding. It was a collective sigh of relief that gave voice to the frustration and anger that had been twisting us up inside for generations now. We saw what Luigi did and we felt a breath of hope many of us had never known before.
In that one act, we recognized the potential for a paradigm shift. We saw a seed of honest-to-god change, and we witnessed its effects in real time. We saw health insurance companies scrambling to remove leadership identifiers from their websites. Holy shit, we thought, they’re actually scared. We saw one of the country’s largest insurers throw its hands up and retreat from an inhumane, money-grubbing policy. Holy shit, it actually worked!
There were talks of copycats. Maybe this thing will start snowballing… But nothing of the sort has happened, and that old sense of hopelessness has come swooping back in. For a brief moment it looked like one person might actually be able to make a difference in this world. And now we’ve been reminded of how foolish an idea that is. What can any of us do in the face of unfathomable wealth and unrestrained power?
That’s what they want. The billionaires. The politicians. The CEOs. They want us to feel powerless. They want us to feel hopeless and tired and defeated. They want us to forget. It’s important, though, that we don’t. It’s important for us to remember that WE ARE MILLIONS and they are few. We have the numbers on our side. It’s high time we remind them of that.
SOMEONE needs to do SOMETHING.
That someone is me. That someone is you. That someone is all of us.

Last night I received an email from a user on FanFiction.net wanting to make art for one of my stories for a fee. This user gave me overly weird praise for a story I don't even think is that good, like as if a bot wrote it. I checked out the user's instagram and Artstation account and grew suspicious, and blocked them. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Here I am in the epilogue camp, I've had a committed relationship with Astarion since Act 1 - I literally murdered a weird old man to be with him - and I feel like I have to remind her that we're together to get her off my back.

a month ago my bestfriend asked me to platonically marry him. I accepted it. I wasn’t expecting much change (even thought it was like a lavender marriage thing since he’s unlabelled, but likes to make ‘gay jokes’ about himself and that’s a but mixed), i didn’t think much of it until i look back at our messages and i think sometime i definitely must’ve fallen for this guy.
he tells me i’m pretty, he says that he loves me lot, i’m his favourite person etc, which makes me giggle and kick my feet like WDYM YOU LOVE ME 🙀🤭 we’ve also gone on like couple dates now
i got him a ring that i put on his finger, we’ve had late night talks about how i’d wanna spend my future with him- and he says yes, our friends definitely notice something BUT IDK MYSELF!!!
all i know i can safely say is i love that guy 😛

I went home over Christmas, and my roommate forgot to water my sundews. I had a lovely healthy pot of them and they all dried out and died off. I was heartbroken and couldn't bring myself to throw away the crusty remains, so I just left the pot in its usual spot - and surprise surprise, suddenly some tiny babies are sprouting!
I've had sundews for years but never grown them from sprouts. Wasn't expecting to be a single mother so suddenly. Any advice for keeping them healthy? They're drosera capensis, about a centimeter tall now, in an east window. I'm just keeping them consistently moist for the moment. Any tips are appreciated.

Due to this I have no idea how to fix it up- but it seemed like a great deal. How do I fix it up? So far I ordered leather cleaner and conditioner!
