 | Background : I'm one of those that are savoring my first playthrough, doing everything possible, only to go back and do it again on a higher difficulty (looking for trophies). I am PS5 On 1st playthrough, bought game day it came out, about a year ago, delayed 6 months due to the aweful mindwrenching pain of the golden saucer, and it's mini/side games. Cannot progress in gongaga after exploring the entire cliffside, I have lost hope and am seeking advice. Hey everyone, I wanted to share a recent nightmare experience my parents had with United Airlines. If you’re even thinking about booking with them, I strongly recommend you read this first.
- Involuntarily Downgraded, No Compensation My parents were flying from San Francisco to New Zealand, and my wife and I specifically purchased Economy Plus Seats for them since they are 70 and 75 years old. We also purposefully picked aisle seats since my mom has a knee condition. The flight ended up being canceled due to mechanical failure. On the rebooked flight, my parents were bumped down to Economy, which is a faire class below what we paid for. So far, two months later, we have yet to receive any amount of compensation for being involuntarily downgraded on a 15-hour international flight where we purposefully booked Economy Plus for my 70+ year old parents.
- Flight Canceled at 2:30 AM Not only were they downgraded, but the flight also ended up getting canceled at 2:30 in the morning, which means we didn't get to our hotel until 3:30 in the morning. On top of that, the flight didn't leave until 24 hours after the original flight, which means we missed an entire day of our trip. We had already paid for an AirBnB, etc. and we also missed an entire day of an already short 2.5 week trip to visit family that we rarely get to visit. United decided that an insulting $175 voucher was enough compensation for the trouble. Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines recently offered my wife and me a $200 voucher for a domestic flight we missed due to bad weather. If Southwest is willing to do that for a domestic flight, United should be able to do more for a 15-hour international flight that was canceled at 2:30 am and delayed 24 hours.
- Terrible Customer Service I’ve tried reaching out to United on my parents’ behalf since my wife and I purchased the original tickets. Shockingly, United outright refuses to speak with me over the phone, which has been the worst part of this whole situation. They keep hiding behind their keyboard and telling me that Customer Care doesn't do phone calls and can only respond every 5-6 days by email. I'm completely reasonable and don't think it should be that hard to come to a fair resolution, but it’s been impossible to get a straightforward answer or any real help. At this point, I would just appreciate speaking to a person, discussing the details, and finding a reasonable resolution, but keep in mind, if you find yourself in this situation, United Airlines refuses to provide actual customer service and instead hides behind a keyboard while refusing to provide a reasonable level of customer service.
- Refusal to Cooperate Even after multiple attempts to reach a resolution, United still won’t budge or have a conversation. They continue to ignore legitimate questions and concerns. These issues clearly mean nothing to them, and, at this point, illustrate why United Airlines has a bad reputation when it comes to customer service.

I’m in a FM program that has 6x6x6 residents. We currently do inpatient night shifts in our second year but the way it is set up, we are completely alone sometimes caring for a list of over 30 patients, ICU included. 7 straight nights, 12hr shifts.
Is this normal for a resident to be alone on night caring for so many patients? There is a single nocturnist in the building who oversees our team and 3 IM teams, however, they aren’t affiliated with our program and are frequently unavailable/unreachable during a crisis where an attending is needed.
Is this as unsafe as I feel like it is or are we just being whiny?
