Currently, in California, the longest punishment for Arson is 9 years, if the fire cause bodily harm. It’s 16 months to 2 years for property or forest damage.
Given the state of climate change and our tinderbox city, I think California needs to increase the punishment for arson and tac on the punishments for Acts of Terror when individuals attempt to start brush fires.
I’d hope that would at least deter some of these arsonist?
I’m not a lawyer or prosecutor, so I wanted others thoughts. Is this something we would vote on or could the state government just do this?

Hi! I don’t know if I can ask this here but I figured I’ll give it a try. My (22F) boyfriend (30M) has said he wants a new beard trimmeset of clippers for his birthday. He has very thick, course hair especially on his beard and his current trimmer (a phillips sonic i believe) just doesn’t do the trick. He usually likes to grow out his beard for a couple months and cut it short again once it gets to be too much. I want to get him something that will make cutting and cleaning up his beard a lot easier. So far I’ve looked at clippers from novah and manscaped but I just wanted to get some perspective from other guys who might also have very thick beard hair. I appreciate any advice!!

So my tachometer is like I would say .5 to 1k rpm’s off what it should be but I can hear my engine and know it’s not running that high. Also no check engine light. I’m idling right now and it’s stuck at 2k but when I drive it gets a little bit more accurate.
What should I look into checking and replacing ? Any help is appreciated thank you.

It shouldn't have to take over 1100 chapters for Zoro and Mihawk to fight, for Monkey D. Dragon to do something, for Luffy and Shanks to meet, and for the OP to be found.
There's gotta be stuff that could've been cut out. Do we really need the Holy Knights? It's so obvious that they only exist because Oda had the idea of Garling during Wano and wanted to make him special, but he couldn't make him a Gorosei yet so he made him the leader of another group.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm really starting to feel the length of this series now. Feels like the entire post-timeskip up till Egghead has been nothing but padding. I just want Oda to start closing plot lines instead of opening new ones. I'm finding it harder and harder to be excited about a chapter each week.

My wife (30F) and I (34 M) are married for three years now. From the start I have been very clear that I wanted a serious relationship and family someday.
I also made it 100% clear that I want kids and I want to start a family at some point in our marriage. After marriage I bought it I with my wife after a year but she quickly dismissed it saying that we have much more to live.
Reasonable.
I didn't give it much thought thinking she was just adjusting and she needed time. But after 3 years of marriage and lot of exploring, I bought it up again few months ago. She again dismissed it, saying that she has lot of work to be having kids.
That upset me, so I sat her down one day and asked her that if she's clear about having kids or not. I know I was pressurizing her at this point but i needed a yes or no. I can't keep waiting forever.
She explained that she was scared to have kids after seeing her bestfriend give birth a year before and almost losing everything. Her body, her job, and health.
I understood, I really did. At the end, it is her body going though all of that.
I said I'll give her time to think about it but if she decides to that she's ready, I'll support her through everything. All I expected was a simple nod in return, but my wife blew up at me calling me insensitive for not caring about her and her body.
I don't know what to do at that point as I tried to calm her down and finally, said that we don't have to have kids if you don't want to. She finally calmed down but was still giving me the cold shoulders for few days.
I thought of adoptions and suggested it too and she immediately dismissed that too, saying that she won't take care of some random child.
I am genuinely confused right now, I thought she was scared of the pain and pregnancy. What's wrong with adopting a newborn?
And I feel like she is leading me on, becuse i have heard her talking multiple times on the phone about having a child to her friend but when I ask her about it, she quickly dismisses it.
A part of me feel like a ashope for pressuring it but other part of me think that she's leading me on, since I was clear even before marriage that I want to have kids someday.
