Hi everyone! I have been reading posts in this group religiously for the past year to help me out but now that I have been getting some acceptances I was hoping I could take a shot in the dark to see if anyone could give me some insight into certain programs:) any insight is very much appreciated :)
For some background: I am an undergraduate student graduating this May and I plan to start a master's program in the fall! I am very interested in health policy and federal government agencies, essentially just stuff in that sphere (I want to eventually live in DC). I told myself if I got into Hopkins I would go there hands down but now that I have some choices I thought I would ask this group for advice:) I have so far been accepted into Hopkins (MSPH in health policy management), George Washington (MPH in Health Policy), and Boston University (MPH in Health policy and Law), and am waiting on Columbia and NYU.
Based on the freeze of a lot of federal agencies and public health jobs I would consider getting a law degree in a couple of years if that seems like the best way for me to get into policy but a lot of that is up in the air. I really like Hopkins' program, but love the proximity of GWU to DC. I think I would also love the experiences of being in NYC and Boston. Since I want to eventually work in DC and settle down there, I am trying to keep other cities open for the experiences! I'm in a fortunate position where price isn't my biggest concern, opportunities and field experience is my #1.
I'm open to any advice and thank you all so much in advance!!

As the Dm in our game, my Pcs that are playing range from experienced to new players. One of my pc is brand new and ended up going into his death saves but was saved by one of his teammates. Once the mission was complete as everyone was reaping the rewards, they ended up forgetting that their friend was lying unconscious on the ground. Except one pc who is playing a Chaotic/Neutral character and ended up saying a speech that was so good everyone was laughing. He proceeded to bury our new player’s character ,unconscious, 3ft in the ground and that is where we ended the first part of the campaign.
My question is if I could receive any ideas of how to bring my friends new character out of the ground? Obviously after being buried and not being able to breathe you would ultimately wake up and start digging, but I feel like that’s to boring. Any ideas would help. Thanks!!

As the title says, my PSVR2 is essentially a paperweight now. I've had it for 5 weeks and it can longer scan my room. I tried borrowing a friend's headset and his headset had the face issue. For some reason my room is no longer compatible with PSVR2.
Anyone local in Arizona need a PSVR2, I'm sure we could work something out.

2025.01.23 17:29 Competitive_Car7413 Is being charged labour for warranty replacement normal?
Hello all, almost 5 years ago we had an electrician rewire our old house and as part of that we had them supply and install 6 new LED batten lights in the garage. The lights have a 5 year warranty, and are hard wired.
Three of the lights failed recently, two completely dead and one flickering and buzzing, so we contacted the electrician that installed them to claim warranty on them.
The sparky came around, good guy, no issues with him, and replaced the failed lights. The internal design of the lights has been completely changed, so obviously there was some issue there, but regardless we now have half of the lights replaced (and hoping the rest either fail soon, before the warranty is up, or don't fail at all).
Now, this is where it gets annoying. We have been invoiced almost $300 for labour for the warranty replacement of these lights. Is this normal? They aren't something that the end user can replace themselves (hard wired into mains) and surely the electrician can seek reimbursement from the supplier of the lights?

Guys, se estivessem fazendo um projetinho pra tentar lançar na web, a fim de levantar uma grana, e tivesse que mexer com todas a etapas da construção do projeto (front, back, dados, deploy, etc). Vocês investiriam tempo também aprendendo sobre UI/UX ?
Mexe e vira vejo algumas coisas na internet que me fazem pensar que essa parte de design, cores e usabilidade pode definir se o projeto vai pra frente ou afunda num limbo de esquecimento pelos usuários, ent acabo pensando ser tão importante quanto ter um código livre de bugs e que funcione bem. Qual a opinião de vcs, seria uma boa investir nisso ?
Obs: eu entendo um pouco sobre, pq já trabalhei numa empresa que me pediram pra prototipar um projeto que era o carro chefe da empresa (que pagava 80% das contas), mas que era antigo e precisava de um novo visual (Eu fui contratado como QA e na época era estagiário, e me arrependo de n ter processado a empresa).

2025.01.23 17:29 SloAndroid Made a (stupid) mistake and ordered two Fold 6 Cases!
Just as the title says, I made a mistake by ordering two Fold 6 cases instead of one.
Here’s what happened:
I own a Z Fold 6, and my brother (who the second part of the order was for) has the OG Pixel Fold. He’s happy with his OG Google case for it. However, he recently got the new M4 iPad Pro 13", and I promised to buy him the Magic Keyboard and a Dbrand skin for it as his birthday present. (I always tell him what I’m getting him so he doesn’t end up buying it himself.)
His birthday was in December, and I wanted to "surprise" him with a skin for the Magic Keyboard for the iPad 13". After working a few more hours, I decided to place the order at 4 a.m. local time—a big mistake. I was tired and just wanted to get it done. I sat down at my computer and accidentally ordered two Fold 6 cases instead of a case and a case-friendly screen protector for my Fold 6, plus a skin for his Magic Keyboard.
To make matters worse, I live in Europe, and since I didn’t select premium shipping, I ended up paying €30 in taxes on top of €98 for the cases—€130 in total (about $135).
Why am I sharing all this? So you don’t make the same mistake I did:
- Always pay a bit more for premium shipping to avoid customs—it’s worked for me in the past.
- Never order when you’re tired or in a hurry. At the very least, double-check everything before placing an order (or read the confirmation emails).
To make it even worse, the case doesn’t work with my current screen protector—obviously, as I use one from Benks, and it’s not Dbrand case-friendly. The site says they’ll ship the case-friendly screen protectors in March, so now I either have to use my phone without a screen protector or stick with a different case until March.
I’m just so angry at myself, but I don’t think there’s much I can do about it now, ended up with one extra case that I will not use and one case that I do not know if I will use until March...

Oi, pessoal, tudo bem?
Queria tirar uma dúvida e ouvir os relatos de vocês sobre algo que estou vivendo.
Comecei meu tratamento para TDAH no ano passado e estou tomando Venvanse há alguns meses. Hoje em dia, estou em 50mg e a dose está bem estável para mim. Não sinto necessidade de ajustar, então está funcionando bem.
Por outro lado, venho lidando com ansiedade há algum tempo. Recentemente, meu médico introduziu escitalopram para ajudar a controlar isso (faz cerca de uma semana que comecei a tomar). Quando iniciei o tratamento para TDAH, cortei o café, já que percebi que ele estava aumentando minha ansiedade na época, mesmo antes de iniciar os medicamentos.
Agora, minha dúvida é: depois que a ansiedade estiver controlada com o escitalopram, vocês acham que seria seguro eu voltar a tomar café? Não estou falando de consumir o dia inteiro como antes, mas talvez uma ou duas vezes por dia, porque gosto bastante de café, especialmente cafés mais gourmet.
Vale dizer que não estou sentindo abstinência nesses meses sem café, mas é algo que aprecio e gostaria de retomar, se possível. Porém, fico preocupado com a combinação de cafeína com os estimulantes e o tratamento da ansiedade.
Se puderem, gostaria de saber como vocês lidam com isso: alguém aqui consegue consumir café enquanto toma Venvanse ou outros estimulantes? A cafeína atrapalhou o controle da ansiedade de vocês? Ou acharam melhor evitar completamente?
Agradeço qualquer insight ou relato!

 | I got the Christmas battle-force offered for Christmas and since I already had other Riptide I decided to experiment with the one in the box. It was said that the fly stand isn’t stable and would break at the junction of the stick and the ball, so to try to solve the problem I slapped some 2 part epoxy at this fragile connection and the other ends. I didn’t rough the model thoroughly but gave some typical plating stress tests and so far it holds ! I've always wondered why does AFK kick exist in STW (unfortunately I sometimes had to be AFK, but tried to be back ASAP). I was like that until today, this guy (the focus skin with fncs pickaxe, green jade is fine) literally was AFK the whole mission. Worst of it, when the alert that he is going to be kicked appeared HE DID SOMETHING (bulit a wall) AND THEN AFK'ED AGAIN. I was smashing him with the baron and texting something like "bro do something" and it didn't help. Though this dude wasn't that lazy to get to twine peaks

Chelsea are lining up an opening bid for Alejandro Garnacho and could be left with a clear run for the Manchester United winger.
Garnacho has been the subject of interest from Chelsea and Napoli, but the Italian club are also now in talks to try to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.
Should Napoli convince Adeyemi to move to Italy, then Chelsea could be the only club in the running to sign Garnacho before the January transfer window shuts.
Chelsea are likely to make an opening bid for Garnacho, having made contact over his availability and made checks on his situation.
There have been concerns over Garnacho’s temperament from Chelsea and Napoli, but it now seems the west London club are getting ready to formalise their interest with an offer.
United are ready to play hardball over the future of Garnacho, who they value at more than £50 million and are insistent they will not consider offers involving players they do not want moving in the opposite direction.
There is a belief outside Old Trafford, however, that the Argentine will leave United before the transfer window shuts and that Chelsea are currently his most realistic potential destination.
That could change if United dig their heels in over their valuation and Chelsea have made checks on other attackers such as Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens and Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.
Given the choice between Chelsea and Napoli, it is believed Garnacho would favour a move to Stamford Bridge where his Argentina international team-mate Enzo Fernández already plays.
