2025.01.23 17:30 Either-Employer-9216 How much extra post length for chain?
I have a helix piercing which is about 2 years old and has been healed for about 1,5 years. It's been bombproof ever since it was healed. Yesterday I added a chain to it for the first time and since then it hurts a little bit whenever something touches it. Normally I wear a 5mm post in my helix which is a very snug fit, but I ordered a 6mm one to wear with the chain. The post is implant grade titanium (from IS) and the chain is a cheap (not implant grade) titanium chain.
I am wondering if it is due to the post being a little bit too short with the chain added or if it is just because I cheaped out on the chain.
So to other people wearing chains on their piercings, how much extra post length do you have compared to when you don't wear a chain?

I can’t tell if withdrawal is making me this crazy, or just the reality of life and me facing it is affecting me this bad. I’m trying to stay off social media bc the reality of what is happening in the US (I’m in Canada) and what it has unleashed on social media has made me so frustrated. Pair that with me being a single mom and my two teenagers literally not doing anything unless I get extremely angry and say things I regret. I didn’t even yell, but I just told my kids that I’m going to change custody and have them move to their dads because I don’t want them anymore. Help, I am just so frustrated with everything right now. I’m exercising pretty much daily, joined a book club. I just don’t know what to do. I am 24 days weed free

I've just change ISP to gigaclear in the UK. On this connect I get the follow error when I "git pull"
ssh: connect to host port 22: operation timed out.
On my old BT connection I can still connect to git on the same machine. They do not support ipv6, I do not understand it they is an issue. I have setup a static IP but I still get the same error.

Part of my order hasn't shipped and I want to cancel it. Per the order history it shows that it is available to cancel but when I try the website has an error and says to try again later. I tried to reach out to customer service during their listed work hours but it says no one is available. I currently have an open help ticket (#2008109161) but response times on these tickets seems incredibly slow and I'm trying to cancel the item before it ships to save everyone the money and hassle of processing a return. I noticed that the bojangles closed down in Dawsonville. I also noticed that station house closed each day at 2pm now. I have only ever seen 1 car at the “pool room”. Has anyone even been in that new distillery? They have trivia tonight. It looks like a lot of businesses in the city of Dawsonville are on their last leg and are on the verge of shutting down (excluding food lion, and the funeral home). What would it take for “local businesses” to actually start seeing a crowd? what would it take for that coffee trailer to actually get a brick and mortar store? What do you guys want out of your city?

2025.01.23 17:30 Objective_Lobster734 HDMI extender?
I'm looking to run an HDMI video feed 100-200 feet. We have a DVR security camera system installed but the DVR is in the office and my wife wants to be able to view the cameras in the living room - say waiting for food delivery or waiting for school busses, etc.
My first thought was to pick up a cheap android tablet, wall mount it and just run the HIKVision app on it but the app is kinda buggy and will timeout randomly and that will get annoying quickly.
The DVR unit has a VGA output that connects to the monitor with the unit and has an unused HDMI port. I'd like to connect that and run it to the living room and buy a small cheap (18"? 20"?) 1080P TV or monitor to view the camera feed on.
I've seen talk about extenders that run the signal over ethernet but I see so many styles/types/brands etc.
Has anyone done this and can give me some pointers as far as what to look for when researching devices? Thanks.

Got wind of it off a Danny Brown freestyle years ago and tracked it down to Thank You Jay Dee 2 - trying to explore more of his latin-flavoured discography. Any recommendations?
