I'm autistic, and autistic people often talk about how when NTs say to give 100% at the workplace, they don't mean it literally and actually just say it because it's what they're supposed to say and/or it's a short version of the most effort you can give for the full duration of a shift, like how when lifting weights, people typically do their set with only 80% of the max they could lift because if they actually did their one rep max weight, they'd tire out too early and get injured or at least not complete the whole set.
But I've always truly gone as hard as I could, to the extent where it benefits the job (e.g., I'm not doing jumping jacks as I wait for the copier to finish just for the sake of physical exertion), and that doesn't lead to burn out. In fact, it gives me more energy and motivation to come in each day, and when I go home from work, I always to manage to find more work.
The only time I've burned out at a job was when I was severely underworked and bored. After a few months of that, I started drinking (at home), showing up late, and eventually quit, never had an issue with any of that at jobs where I had a lot to do.
This can even be traced back to when I was a little kid: I was a terror in my classes in grade school, where the teacher called my mom every day. They put me in the harder classes and never had a problem again.
So now I'm wondering: is that an NT phrase like the autistic people say, where they don't literally mean to give it your all, or was it created by someone like me, who is more prone to boredom than exhaustion?

JEFFERSON CITY — The House Lounge at the Missouri State Capitol is open to public tours for the first time since before the pandemic.
New Missouri House Speaker Jon Patterson, R-Lee's Summit, announced the reopening Friday. The lounge had been closed to the public since March of 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Now, the space will be open to tours when not in use by House members.
In a news release, Patterson expressed hope that reopening the House Lounge would help visitors feel better connected to the state's history.
“We are proud to showcase the rich history of our state by inviting Missourians and visitors back into the House Lounge,” Patterson said. “As speaker of the house, I want to make state government more accessible to constituents and that starts (with) us.”
The lounge is best known for "A Social History of the State of Missouri," an expansive mural painted by native Missourian Thomas Hart Benton in 1935 and 1936. The mural depicts elements of the state's political, agricultural and social history from European settlement through the early Great Depression.
The mural was deemed by Benton himself as a career-defining piece.

So I had a period for 3 months straight and I was worried so I went in to see my gyno (this is only my second time seeing her).
She didn't examine me, she didn't do any bloodwork, she just went straight to prescribing me hormonal birth control.
We scheduled an ultrasound to see if any cysts/pollyps are why I am bleeding so much but I felt like she didn't do enough.
I feel like it's really weird to prescibe someone hormones without actually checking their hormone levels. Thoughts?

I know people that waited 6+ weeks to get accepted and others as little as a week, so the wait time can vary greatly. Why is that so? I don’t know but my theory is there is a backlog of applications. If you have an idea or theory as to why some people wait longer than others to get accepted feel free to comment below. I feel like Stellar processes applications randomly or something else because the wait times don’t add up.
