2025.01.23 22:13 pilatesbabe98 Currently on day 23. Doing great. Dropped caping about a week and a half ago… just tested positive for the flu.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I was looking so forward to starting to feel better… part of me thinks I got sick because I quit drinking and vaping and my body is freaking out. Oh, I am also 9 months postpartum and just stopped taking the birth control pill 2 days ago because I gave up so much harmful behavior and my gut was still very upset. I suspected it was the BC.
I really wanted a nice good detox to start feeling like myself again in this new year since becoming a new mother.
Thankfully, I have absolutely no desire to drink or vape. I am feeling really proud of myself and am more driven each day. This just SUCKS!

2025.01.23 22:13 Global-Plan7044 Grad year at Monash and beyond

Hi Everyone, I had two question. For Monash health, they say they will give you one of your 5 preferences as a rotation, where do they put us in second rotation? Also how does it work? Coz the grad team say we do another set of preferences mid year for second rotation, like are the five rotations we picked in first rotation not available or can we stick choose a rotation that was in our top 5 but we never got it? I hope im making some sense😅.
Also I wanted to know if someone could guide me as to what the process is like for after grad year at Monash health for jobs? I would ideally like to work 0.8-full time. Do they offer tsp? How easy is it? What’s the process like? If u get on to a ward you like, what are the chances of jobs being available after rotation. Or just what happens after you finish a rotations-at the end of year? Any help and guidance of the next couple of steps would be great! Thanks!

So wb doesnt own lego movie anymore but owns the characters, does that mean unikitty revival is still feasible since its just the show of unikitty without much of the lego branding to it? Or does wb have to change her design to be more round? What about wyldstyle and emmet and the others? I dont think wb would own the lego style designs obviously

2025.01.23 22:13 Pikuss Want to pursue a career in Networking, need advice.

Hello! I seek advice, i have recently been thinking about pursuing a career in Networking. I wish to slowly learn and obtain a Cisco CCNA Cert if i get the chance, but i was wondering. A lot of guys on the internet, like networking speak very technical language.. I can’t understand what they’re talking about sometimes. English is not my first language, but i understand it pretty well, still it’s just that i get some kind of a “impostor syndrome”.
I am currently studying at a Technical University in EU, i have had some classes with Cisco Packet Tracer, Switches, Routers and stuff (I’m not studying CS or not anything IT related, but have been interested in IT since childhood) I’m just not sure if i’m up for the job. I’m aware that this is just the beginning.
I like Packet Tracer Exercises, i like configuring devices, making things work, ping themself. I quickly learned subnetting, i wish to expand my knowledge even more, i would love to get into some basic scripting for networking just to learn a thing or two. I just can’t help but think i’m not “serious” about it and just messing around with the stuff i basically know nothing about. Should i go for it, or is it too hard to eventually land a junior job nowadays?

hey what’s up lol, first of all, please don’t send me dick pics or anything weird.. i will either insult you or ignore you 😭 if you want a relationship i’d prefer if we started off as friends and got to that point slowly, yk what i mean?
a little bout me: 5’6, a little clingy, super into music (of all kinds, apart from cringey pop music), i play videogames a little too much, i am learning how to play guitar. i mean i think i’m a pretty pleasant person to be around, but i’m a little biased lmao. i really don’t have any ‘requirements’ for you, just be enjoyable to speak to, and not creepy, and we’re good!

2025.01.23 22:13 ChronNoHado Bazzite is insane

Since i got my legion go I rarely ever used it because it felt so "clunky" is the best way to put it. I thought it was the hardware for so long cause im used to usinh desktops and I didnt think windows was the issue. Until i complained about the LeGo wishing i got a deck and a commenter here told me to suck it up and install bazzite, i decided to finally do it and holy crap i played with it for 2 hours in one sitting going through half life 2 everything felt so intuitive, I never had to leave steam after setup, just boot it up, play the game. And the sleep mode. I had to go do something for a brief moment, pressed power, and expected having to go through lock screen, Nah just get right bsck to where i was. I never would have thought a simple OS change would make me start enjoying this device ive had since launch. I cant wait for the LeGo 2 controllers since they are seemingly compatible with the first and the controllers are my only complaint. SteamOS is a gamechanger.

2025.01.23 22:13 GamerTime487 Boss Guides Revamp

Hello, this is the revamped version of my old post from a year ago. Since then, I have been playing a lot more of this wonderful game and I wanted to revamp my old Boss Guides post. If you want to check it out then here is the link: https://www.reddit.com/Terraria/comments/1ae6wye/boss\_guides/ This will take a while to finish, but hopefully, the result will be worth it. Also, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to type them in the comment section. I'll try to respond to at least some of your comments so... yeah.
This post is for people who are struggling or are stuck on a specific boss. In my old post, I mentioned that any of these guides should help with any of the bosses on Classic, Expert, and Master Mode. But this time, I will (hopefully) help with any of the bosses on Legendary Mode or GetFixedBoi (if you are like me in trying to beat the hardest secret seed). Before I start this guide, yes, most of the reference videos were recorded before the release of 1.4.4, specifically 1.4.3 or any other version related to 1.4. However, the strategies should still work nonetheless.
Table of Contents:
1. Preparation
2. Pre-Hardmode Bosses (WIP)
3. Hardmode Bosses
4. Random Guides
Preparation:
Before I discuss the actual bosses, I have some tips that should hopefully prepare you even more for a specific boss.
1. Use potions and/or food items
Potions and/or food items are critical in any boss fight in Terraria, especially if you are playing in Master (or Legendary) mode. While it is possible to beat a boss without any potions or any food items and grinding out some of these is a real pain, these 2 key things should help make the boss fight a lot easier and should make the result more worth it.
2. Overpreparation
If you are stuck on one specific boss, sometimes the best thing to do is to overprepare your specific boss fight if you have the option to do so. Whether it's getting a weapon or an accessory that breaks the normal progression sequence or grinding an obscene amount of potions, any method to overprepare for a specific boss is a good idea.
3. Add stationary buffs to your arena
This tip shouldn't be a surprise, but I'll share it anyway. Having any stationary buff in your arena is important, whether it is a Campfire, Heart Lantern, Bast Statue, Sunflower, etc., anything that benefits your character in a way is important. This is certainly the case if you are playing on Master or Legendary Mode, as getting hit by any boss is brutal.
4. Having good mobility
While having more defensive accessories is great in terms of tanking damage, you also want to have a good mix of mobility accessories. Having great mobility makes it so you will have a much easier time with any boss fight. Examples of mobility accessories include Speed Boots (Hermes Boots and its variants), Wings, Bottle Variants (Example: Cloud in a Bottle), etc.
With these tips out of the way, let's get on to the Pre-Harmode Boss Fights.
Pre-Hardmode Bosses:
King Slime:
This is probably one of the first few, maybe even the first boss you will encounter in this game. The gimmick of this boss fight is keeping your distance, so having any ranged weapon or any weapon that doesn't make it so you have to get close to the boss will work for this boss fight. The boss gets progressively harder over time as you deal more damage to the boss. For one, he will spawn slime minions over time as you deteriorate his health. Some of these minions even shoot out projectiles, which is another reason why keeping your distance is a good strategy when fighting this boss. Another challenge the King slime adds is he will become more aggressive and will become smaller as you damage him more, making it harder for you to hit. However, if you are confident in your dodging abilities and you have a lot of defense, then you can go aggressive with this boss by using a close-range weapon. Otherwise, keep your distance and you should be able to beat this boss in no time. The drops from King Slime aren't too noteworthy, with the only notable drops being the Slimy Hook and the Slimy Saddle.
As for Legendary Mode, keeping your distance (especially if you don't have a lot of defense) is more important as the only change is that King Slime is much bigger. He also deals a heck ton of damage on Legendary Mode, making this strategy even more viable.

Legendary Mode Reference Video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkA9JLoo\_uo\]
Eye of Cthulhu:
This boss is one of the most iconic bosses in this entire game and for a very good reason. The fight itself is a perfect introduction to the player about the importance of mobility, and the gimmick of this boss fight is all about this one concept. At the minimum, Hermes Boots (or any of its variants) should be enough to outpace the Eye of Cthulhu. Having any Bottle accessory such as the Cloud in a Bottle or any accessory that improves vertical mobility also works here in this boss fight. As for weapons, it's like the King Slime fight, use any weapon that doesn't require you to get too close to the boss. And like King Slime, if you have the defense to tank it, you can go aggressive with this boss fight. Now, let's get on with the actual boss.
This boss consists of 2 phases. The first phase is nothing too challenging, he will occasionally spawn his Serpents and will fly above you. The second phase however changes that up drastically. This is where mobility accessories come into play. The Eye of Cthulhu becomes more aggressive and starts to dash at you, forcing you to try to outpace this gigantic eyeball. As you damage the eye more, he will start to become more aggressive to the point where if he is at a very low HP mark, this eyeball will nonstop dash at you until you defeat it. One of the drops from Eye of Cthulhu is probably the most important, as there is one accessory this eyeball drops: the Shield of Cthulhu. This drop grants you a ram dash, which not only improves your horizontal mobility but also helps with dodging attacks. This accessory is a must-use up until post-Plantera (unless you are like me who just uses it throughout the entire game).
As for Legendary Mode changes, the notable changes that I found were him spawning more Serpents and summoning said serpents in Phase 2. If there are any Legendary Mode changes I missed, please let me know.

Brain of Cthulhu
If you have Crimson as your evil biome, then congratulations, you have to fight a gigantic brain with flying eyeballs as its servants. Accessories are pretty much the same as the Brain of Cthulhu, but for weapon recommendations, it is much different. Having weapons that can pierce through multiple enemies is highly recommended for this fight. If you are doing a Ranger playthrough or you are still stuck on this boss, use Spiky Balls. They are extremely useful for this fight, which is what I am going to talk about now.
The fight contains 2 phases, one where the brain has flying eyeballs called Creepers and one where it's just the brain himself. Let's start with Phase 1, where the gimmick of this phase is to attack all 20 Creepers that the Brain of Cthulhu spawns. This is why weapons that can pierce through multiple enemies are important as you'll want to get rid of every Creeper as fast as you can. Why? Well simply put, getting hit by one of these Creepers can be devastating as these eyeballs can give you a random debuff. How? I have no f**king clue. And the worst part is, these Creepers can inflict the Cursed debuff (a debuff where you cannot use any item for a short period), the Confused debuff (A debuff where it reverses your controls), and Broken Armor (debuff where it cuts your total defense by half). And yes, these debuffs can stack if you get hit too much. Once you defeat all 20 Creepers, Phase 2 starts. The gimmick of Phase 2 is that the brain will spawn 3 duplicates of himself, forcing you to differentiate which one is the real brain. At the start of the phase, it's easy to see which one is the real one, but of course, it gets harder as you deal more damage to the brain. Also, just like the Creepers, the Brain can inflict a random debuff. Unfortunately, this is 1.4.4 so using the minimap is not an option. If you have summons or have a weapon that can inflict a debuff like fire, use it as it makes this phase much easier. If you don't, try to dash away from the Brain and you should have enough distance to damage the Brain. Spiky Balls are extremely useful for this fight, especially Phase 1. I'm not sure about Phase 2, so I am going to assume it's also useful for Phase 2. The Expert Mode drop from the Brain of Cthulhu is the Brain of Confusion, an accessory that when equipped grants you a 1/6 chance of dodging any attack. And while I don't use this accessory a lot, I think this accessory is pretty good considering you can just dodge any attack with no consequence. The only downside is the somewhat low chance, but I think it's worth it.
As for Legendary Mode changes... this is one of the bosses I am not familiar with on Legendary Mode. The only changes I know of are that the Creepers are bigger in Phase 1, and that gravity is flipped at the start of Phase 2. The only tip I can give is to use a Featherfall potion at the start of Phase 2, but other than that, this boss is one I am not familiar with in Legendary Mode. I will link the reference video, but if you have any other tips on beating this boss on Legendary Mode, leave it in the comments.

Legendary Mode Reference Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXz-Eflv6E4&t=6s
The Eater of Worlds
If you have Corruption as your evil biome, then congratulations, you have to fight a giant cancer worm that is stupidly hard on Legendary Mode. But I'll get to that later. Spiky Balls strikes again as this weapon is really useful for this boss. As for weapon recommendations, it's like the Brain of Cthulhu, try to use weapons that can pierce through multiple enemies.
Unlike the Brain of Cthulhu, this boss does not have multiple phases. Instead, the gimmick of the fight is to defeat all 60 segments (72 segments if you are in Expert/MasteLegendary mode) of this gigantic cancer worm. The catch is if you defeat any of the segments that are not the head or tail, you will have to deal with more than one worm. And to make this even worse, this worm also shoots vile spit which deals a stupid amount of damage, especially on Master or Legendary Mode. There are multiple strategies, but if you want to play this one safe, keep your distance and try to dodge the vile spit. The reference video will show that you can face tank this boss, but it does require a hefty amount of defense. The Expert Mode drop from the Eater of Worlds is the Worm Scarf. Again, I don't use this accessory a lot, but it reduces damage taken from enemies by 17%! And while it's slightly worse than the Brain of Confusion, I still think this accessory is pretty good as you can tank more hits when equipping it.
As for Legendary Mode changes... this is by far one of the worst Legendary Mode bosses in this game. No, seriously, it's stupid. The change this worm gets is that he is more aggressive, but the most important change is that now every time you defeat one of its segments, it turns into an Eater of Souls! And what's worse, it shoots Vile Spit! So, you are forced to grind for an Eater of Souls banner for this one boss fight. Even then, it is stupidly difficult to beat, to the point where at this point, I don't blame you if you cheese this fight or fight this boss using a different class weapon. If there are any strategies I forgot, type them in the comments.

2025.01.23 22:13 Razzz1987 $WATT wireless Electricity.. Baffling potential?

Proximity / Wireless wall outlet level of electricity for any device within <3-5m (TV, Computer, Phone/Tablet etc).
I'm baffled this technology havn't taken off.. or, sort of is standard in explicit zones at the very least.
Any ideas on what could be the cause? Everyone should want this.. I could imagine even military applications, but just consumer electronics alone should mean huge potential for something like a charging "Power Puck" with smooth wallsocket level of power delivery.
Ideas?

2025.01.23 22:13 arctotherium__ [College Circuits] I'm stuck on how to find the current through all of the branches.

[College Circuits] I'm stuck on how to find the current through all of the branches. https://preview.redd.it/02zcv5qygtee1.png?width=942&format=png&auto=webp&s=d7e765df3268e340802b34655966b9f5a76a168f
I figured out that since the voltage on the 25 ohm and 10 ohm resistor are 250 V, then the voltage going through the 100 ohm resistor must be 500 V and the current is 5A. So the voltage through the bottom 2 ohm resistor must be 30 ohms since you add i2 and the 5A. I then found that the current through the top 2 ohm resistor must be 15 A since 10 A goes to i1 and the other 5A travels around branch three through the 100 ohm resistor. I don't really know how to find the correct current through the 10 ohm resistor in branch 1 though.
