I have lost a lot of motivation in the team I work for. It seems that my boss only cares about releasing things without taking into account all the small details. The team is quite inexperienced and makes many mistakes, so it sounds unreal that there are no experienced people and that everything is managed by juniors, it is not their fault because they are still learning and we have all been juniors, but there comes a time when having so many Juniors is not productive at all. This seems to be the norm in other departments as well.
Implementations take so long to the point of desperation, mistakes are made that they themselves recognize and are not resolved immediately, and for the few people who can help more, they always shirk or make excuses, disappear, they are not available, they lack of professionalism. They have next to none sense of responsibility. We don’t save lives, I get that, but we are all responsible for it to work.
I am used to environments where the demand is very high, and the truth is that this laziness can get to me. If you are an inexperienced person just starting out in the industry, this may be fine, but for someone who has been doing this for many years, it is an insult, it is a drag, it is like going back to school and working with teenagers. Plus I have to constantly supervise things (when I am not paid for it) because the team is unable to take any accountability of their work.
I am exhausted of the lack of judgement and responsibility. I like my job but I think this laziness in the environment, this attitude of “anything goes” just to have it, is not for me. I have always had my bar set up very high and never low. Anyone who has been in a similar situation and can give me some advice?

Hi all
Live in MD where we have been sub freezing for days upon days now.
This morning I awoke to just my cold water working in one bathroom, specifically just the toilet and sink.
In my other 2 bathrooms, there is no water pressure in the sink or toilet. Kitchen sink has really weak pressure.
What are some things to check? Should I be calling a pro to come out ASAP?

Mid December got an Interview for an internal position at a big company, interview went extremely well and I felt like I had the position right after the interview was conducted.
Fast forward to 4 weeks later, hearing nothing from anyone, I get a text from the person who conducted my interview saying they wanted to confirm my start date that morning. We ended up talking on the phone about the situation and how I haven’t even received an offer letter yet. They state they told HR to send the request and make it happen the week prior, but I still have yet to receive anything officially. This phone call definitely let me know they were moving forward with me… right?
So, a week passes from my expected “start date”. (5 weekend from interview) This process was taking much longer than I expected, I wanted to let them know about an upcoming vacation that I already had booked months ago, (was not asked about any trips I had booked during the interview nor the phone call) So since it was coming up soon I figured I’d let them know because it will definitely affect my start date.
I send a very professional message to them, just giving the dates I was going to be away, and the trip is 6 days long. Then… nothing. They read my message, but did not give a response.
I wait a week (6 weeks from interview) and I send another message, they told me to keep them updated if they don’t send the offer letter on our phone call. This message was very short just stating I have yet to receive the offer letter, while also asking if I should contacting the recruiter. That message wasn’t even read, just left on delivered.
I then contact the recruiter asking if there is any updates since the interview, and they state no updates on their side.
Did I do something wrong?? Do you think I still have the job?
